Well it's easy isn't it? There's only one player there that's won the most prestigious club trophy, Carragher! (H)

I'd have to say Ferdinand as he's comfortable on the ball as well as being a commanding presence in defence.

John Terry was part of the team that conceded fewest goals in England this season, but I feel he was offered better support from his fellow defenders, goalie and midfield than Ferdinand. Never-the-less a close 2nd IMO.

Campbell hardly played, and Arsenal's defense has seemed more solid recently without him. That's not to say he's not good.

Carragher has improved immensely this season but Liverpool were poor in the EPL, which is a better judge of consistency than the ECL and I feel that Carragher was also dreadfully exposed by Milan's attack in the first 45mins. I think he was good this season, but that is all. In other words, for me, England's central defensive pairing is between Ferdinand, Terry, Campbell, King, Woodgate (when fit), Brown and then Carragher. Serious.

Why are Man Utd fans still defending Rio?

He's been an c*nt all season with the refusal to sign the new deal and he's been erratic to say the least.

I've seen more mistakes from him than from any of the other CB from the list. Yes he's a good player, better with his feet than most CBs but he's been slacking A LOT
