I like these best England duo: Terry & Ferdinand. They look solid in the defense.
But, I think Terry looks a little better than Ferdinand.

Terry and Ferdinand would be the best combination, they compliment each other like Gallas and Terry do. One is dominant in the air, the other is a bit more faster and classier on the ball.

However Terry and even Lampard's rise has to be attributed in some part to Makelele whos game compliments the defensive and attacking aspect of the two players respectively.

No, i'm not in love with him. I just think a player that has won the CL and has been one of Liverpool's most influential guys on the pitch, deserves a lil' more than "****ty player" as a label.

I'd personally say Terry, then Carragher, then Ferdinand, then Campbell.

How can anyone deny it is Terry? He hasn't looked shaky. He is not only England's top defender, he's one of the candidates for England captain in my eyes. Not only is he a confident and assured defender, he (as previously mentioned) has top quality aerial skills which should give us many goals (if Beckham delivers good corners and things).

Carragher... What can I say? Top man. He has been mr. consistent all season, keeping us in games on many occasions when lesser men would have succumbed. Also, who can deny his commitment? He goes in for all the challenges (generally well timed), and I believe he is the only player to have played in all our league games this season. Added to this, the final... making all these challenges, then he made a stretching challenge and as Andy Townsend put it, got "cramp in both groins". He recovered as best he could... then did the same thing again! As a friend of mine said, "in that situation, Rio would have fallen over and cried". Assuming he worked hard enough to get cramp, anyway.

Rio... Well. I think classy is the best term for him. He always looks calm on the ball. This can be good, but I'm not always sure he's completely committed. I can picture him after matches... "Oh well. We lost to Andorra. Let's go get pissed and speed past police cars shouting about how we can flounce the drug testing rules". I think he could be better than he is... but in my mind, he is only 3rd now.

Campbell. Overrated in my opinion. Bit too old now. Probably was our best CB, but has now been taken over.

I can give you some other examples, and these are supposed to be world class players: Vieri, F. Inzaghi, Raul, Crespo.
All of them top forwards, score loads of goals, but I just don't like their football....

Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing Liverpool clinch the CL, I really enjoy most of your players...
But for me, Carragher is on another note, sorry.

I hope I've made my point clear now, I understand that he may have been great this season, but hey
