EMILE Heskey has promised to prove his critics wrong and help England recover from their demoralising start to Euro 2004.
Heskey came under fire following England's defeat against France on Sunday, after his foul on Patrick Vieira allowed Zinedine Zidane to equalise with a stunning free-kick.
Manager Sven Goran Eriksson was also criticised for putting on Heskey in the first place, and taking off Wayne Rooney. But Heskey said: "I have always got a lot of criticism but I am confident and I don't let it get to me.
"There are times when my contribution can be overlooked and I would get praise if I scored more but played worse.

England 2-1 Switzerland
But, and this being a very big but, we will be loosing 0-1 at Half Time.. I think that the swiss are a very good team (on their day [may i being so kind to add
]) but they don't have the same ammount of depth as England have... not saying that we have any
But when we gave away two goals, too the French, in injury time this is the only smiley that can describe my reaction:
