thats a nice fact - i was really afraid of what was gonna happen w.o rooney!

on another thought, should we play 5 at the back (campbell sweeper, and king and terry as centre defenders) to ensure we get the result? actually, i think we should keep it as it is because our defense is probably the best defense so far (apart from the 2 minute lapse which wasnt even our defenses fault)

I'd stick to the team that played against Switzerland, and I hope England go 4-4-2 against Croatia. Although I have a sneaky feeling Sven deployed the Diamond yesterday to keep Croatia guessing.

Yeah I agree, I think we'll see a different Croatia though, it wont be easy. I think we'll have to win, they'll come out very offensive. I so hope we can do it though, we're definately capable!

The diamond works to an extent but sometimes it leaves us confused about width don't you think?

We didnt play brilliant today but we got the result and did what was asked. A few good individual performances especially Rooney!

England have to get a draw with Croatia to go through. I think you guys are well capable than this, as long as you dont do those stupid individual mistakes again on crucial times.

Terry was just ball watching. Never for the life of me can understand why Terry would play ahead of him after such a good job done by King agaist France?¿

Red cards ruin soccer


The Swiss team impressed be quite a bit...I wouldn't be surprised if they become a contending European soccer power within the next decade

-Haas' tackle was deserved of a foul but not a second yellow...the reffing has been horrendous all through out this tournament, man

Can someone clarify the rule for me? Let's say he gets a yellow against Croatia right, will he then be suspended for the next match?

Is it: two yelows= suspension

or is it : two yellows in two consecutive matches=suspension?


I'd rather he be suspended now, imagine us without him during knockout?

and he's such a livewire, he's exactly the kind of player that might get a yellow. The refs have been pretty nice to our 18 year old.

People in North America don't give a damn about Beckham. He's just Adidas' go-to-guy now that Kobe screwed up, and his jersey goes well with shoes.

Lets say that Rooney got booked playing against France and against Swiss, then he gouldnt play against Croatia...but he didnt get booked in match against France...he got booked against Swiss only, now if he gets yellow against Croatia and England would reach to the quarters Rooney would play cause after the group stage the cards will not count in knock out stage.
If Rooney would get booked in 1/4 finals and in semis he would miss the final.

I hope that i gould help, but offcourse i might be wrong...

Beckham's always been like that though? Why point it out just because he's at Madrid.

Of course, he has a lovely right foot and can do some fantastic out of this world passes. But he never ever takes a player on. Which is in a way annoying for a defender because he runs with the ball, stops 5 yards in front of them, pushes the ball and then wacks it. Lol.

I think i've hardly ever seen him take on a player, yeah he's ran past people before but taking on as in beating them by skill.

But he was like that at United and he's like that at Madrid but you don't notice it as much because he's in the center as opposed to England's right.

He's a good player though and always will be!

are you sure about that ??
the systems is usualy if you don't pick up a second card b4 the ko stages the slate is cleared. ie. If rooney gets booked v Croatia, he's out of the 1/4 final.

Err...As i said i might be wrong, i have heard it is the way i posted but again not 100% sure.I searched for but i gouldnt find anything to help so can anyone clarify?
