this might be a bit late but Edurado suffered a horrid tackle...I hope every day that he will return better than before when he will be all well...I feel sorry for him also because he must have been looking forward to Euro 2008 too, and just a few seconds swiped his dreams away in a flash...

When I saw this injury I remember Ronaldo's knee injury back in 2000. I was pretty young back then but I remember watching it live as it happened and I was horrified by it...(Ronaldo back then was my IDOL)...

Shortly after this Eduardo injury I showed some pics to some of my friends at school who aren't all that interested in football...LOL I left them horrified that entire day...

Sorry to disappoint you all manchester united and chelsea fans but arsenal whill win the premier league this year.
Arsenal play's the most beautiful,the most creative ,and the most enjoyable soccer in the league.
Manchester united is a great team with amazing players ,Chelsea is also a great team but this year is the big year of arsen venger and his gunners.

Ah mate, trust me, I did not use them for amusement at all. Some of my friends think 'soccer' is a completely "girl" and idiotic sport, and I only showed them those pictures to prove to them how "girly" it actually was...Now they'll think twice when they'll say soccer is a sissy sport.

I've calmed down a lot since the tackle. I was furious when it happened and I was calling for Taylor's head.

But no matter how calm I am, I can never understand it. For Christ sakes, when I play football with my friends, I'm always extra careful not to bring someone down so they don't get a scratch or two. I don't want to get anybody hurt.

It takes power to break somebody like that. They both use their legs to make a living, and to go at a coleague like that, needlessly and without a thought to what could happen...

I don't know. It's easy to say "hey, he didn't mean it". I don't think it matters much to Eduardo's foot whether he meant it or not. He should have been more careful.

Maybe a rush of blood went thru his head when he was going in for the tackle.....like I said, he was trying to get stuck in, and most of the time, there are no injuries resulting from that.........its easy to stay calm and careful when you're playing with people that you know....

ישראל......nothing in this life is ever certain my young friend, and with Man U now 1 point only behind Arse, then you must be aware that Arsenal winning the EPL this season is a long way from being certain. They will do what we all predicted earlier in the season. They have done well, but now is the time they will bottle it. They will finish 3rd eventually.

I'm just thinking of what kind of turmoil Eduardo is still yet to face ahead of him. People comparing this to Ronaldo's lengthy spell, but i don't know Ronaldo has already achieved a lot before he got his bad injury. Eduardo is just so young and right when it seemed like he was gonna break into the limelight, this happens. Very tough psychological battle ahead for that guy and its EUROs in a couple of months to make matters all worse.

Arsenal play's the best soccer in the UK and not the united or chelsea whill take that away from arsenal.
Only a point is separate the united from arsenal and any thing can appen.

Mate It just somehow seems to me that you have not seen Manchester United play at their attacking and fluent best....The face is that any bloke in the street will always pick ManUtd at their best to Arsenal ate their best....
The Guys here are not saying that Arsenal will lose the premier League based on the one (undeserving and {heartbreaking for Villa}) draw against Aston Villa...It is just that after the injury to Eduardo the moral of the team has gone down a few notches....
and they seem to have lost thier momentum...
also what counts here is the inexperience of the squad..most of them have not been in this situation(of winning the league)ever in thier life....and they can always falter when the time comes-i.e at the pivotal point of the Season.....All these things go against your side.....
But what is also to be looked at is that the start of the season no one could have predicted that Asrenal to be in the race for the League at this point of the season....So they can do anything that we don't expect from them(that includes winning the league)......So just don't lose heart and be optimistic(seeing your comments you seem to be optimistic)

In my opinion anybody can win the league out of the three teams currntly in the fray for the league...These last few weeks of the Seson will certainly be a roller coaster ride for us,Football Fans......

yes, only one point separates Arsenal and anything can happen, yet its like you're trying to shove it down our throats that you're so certain that Arsenal's going to win the league when its just your opinion. Others have their own opinions. Go praise your team in your own team thread.

This guy Lewin, he really does deserve some formal recognition for his services to football. A knighthood at least in my opinion. He saved John Terry's LIFE, last season at Wembley, and now Eduardo says that he might have lost his foot completely if Lewin had not been there at Birmingham.

How many other decisions has this guy made that we don't know about, that saved someones life, or their career? The answer to that, is probably quite a few. He looked after the England camp for many years too, in fact I think he still is the physio for the National team.

You see Knighthoods and other formal honours dished out left right and center, and most of the time to people who do not deserve them. For instance, as long as you have enough money to contribute a substancial amount to a political party, then they will give you one for free. Or make a load of money for yourself and fu<k everyone else, and they'll give you one for sure.

This guy Lewin, has saved more than one life and more than one career. He deserves to be recognised for it.
