Oh, but yes. I'm guessing it's not 'official' but seeing as I merged the Official Squad update from EA with the Official default database that comes with the game it's pretty close.

Oh and as for doing it right. Seeing as I've fixed the boot issue. Something your own releases haven't, I'd say I've done it right.

i wasn't bashing but with such a low post count as yours it is a good question worth asking.

i see a lot of newly registered members make mods that turn out horribly wrong.

as far as the transfers i was waiting until i knew there were no more to made by ea before i did the conversion.

and for the boots issue, they don't bother me so i don't bother to fix them in my releases, i care about accurate squads and game play not minor nonsense like boots players are wearing.

i focus on the game and the way players play it not the apparel the players are wearing.

nice name by the way, very childish.

I'm sure there are many newly registered members that get things wrong. That's also true for those who are experienced. In my opinion, your patches didn't fix the boots issue, so we're sub standard databases. Mine also may not be ideal for you. I accept that.

The thing is. I'm new. You're not. Why not help out a bit? Check out the database and see if it's ok? Give me some tips if I've messed up? Don't discourage me with condescending posts. It took me less than a minute to fix the boots issue. Why couldn't you have done it to yours? Isn't a big deal for you. Was for me. Will be for others.

So. Yeah. Chill mate. Be nicer to people.

Hi. I'm not sure if it is 100% accurate but it's taken directly from the 07.02.14 Squad update released by EA. Hope that helps.

i am looking at the database for you, because me looking at it for you and making sure it is right means i will not have to convert it and i will have more time to do something else.

my post wasn't condescending you just took it that way, it was your perception of my post.

i explained the boots deal, i do not care what type/color boots they wear, yes i could have fixed it but so could anyone else who downloaded it.

i did the majority of the work, something that easy shouldn't be an issue to fix for that someone who cares about the boots, as you said it only took a second.

Hi, I don't know for sure, as I haven't looked deeply in to the game yet, but if the game files are the same for balls as they are for boots, then I'm guessing changing a value for 'islocked' or 'isavailableinstore' from 1 to 0 may do it.

If this doesn't work let me know and I'll have a look. :)

the database looks good, there are some missing transfers though.

you may just have to do it again once they are made, examples zouma and defoe are still where they shouldn't be and about 20 more.

Cheers. Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I probably took it the wrong way. It all depends on what I have time to do really. I have a couple of ideas of things I might do. Mainly around Career Mode.

Yeah, I think I'll wait until the next update and see if they've added them. Spending 20mins converting the database is one thing, I'd love to spend time making loads of transfers manually, but I just don't have enough spare time for it.

If I can find an accurate list of transfers that are missing I might do it though.

Ok. I realise these things are difficult to find even if you search so here is my mini guide. I don't have the files or software in front of me, this is just from memory, so I apologise if I miss anything.

The main thing to bear in mind is that you MUST start by using the DEFAULT database that comes with the game. I've tried it with different databases and even after following everything below I have had the same problem.

You will need the following tools.
Internal Master 12
DB Master 14
Excel, Google docs or equivalent (this is optional, and can be done in DB Master but makes it a lot quicker)

I'm going to presume that whomever reads this will have a basic idea of what they need to do, if not I'll fill in the blanks later.

Step 1 - Converting files
Use this video. Follow it exactly. This will get you 95% towards your goal.

Step 2 - Fixing names
Now there are 2 files that you need to combine:
'dlcplayernames' and 'playernames'

  • Export 'playernames' from the default database using DB Master
  • Open 'playernames' in Excel
  • Open 'dlcplayernames' in Word pad. (You would have extracted this after following the Converting files video above)
  • Delete any of the garbled names from the bottom of the 'dlcplayernames' file
  • Copy all of the text from 'dlcplayernames' directly after the last name in the 'playernames' Excel file
  • Now match the format of the 'playernames' file. Ie. add in a column so that you can copy/paste the commentary ID '900000'
  • Open 'playernames' in Word pad.
  • Copy all of the text from the 'playernames' Excel file into 'playernames' file in Word pad
  • Save
  • Open your converted database in DB Master
  • Locate 'playernames' and import the new version you've just saved
  • Done

Step 3 - Fixing boots
  • This one you can do directly in DB Master. It doesn't take long.
  • Under the heading 'isembargoed' change any boot that has a 1 to a 0
  • Save
  • Done
