Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has been found guilty of committing racist behaviour.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper has been suspended for three games and fined 10,000 euros for his abuse of Gerald Asamoah during Saturday's Bundesliga game against Schalke. Weidenfeller reportedly called Ghanaian striker Asamoah a "black pig" after the two collided during the match. The Schwarzgelben keeper apologized to Asamoah after the game, but has denied using those words. Following an investigation by the German football federation, Weidenfeller was punished for making "disparaging and insulting" remarks. Weidenfeller's immediate apology provoked leniency from the federation, and Dortmund were spared the further punishment of being deducted points.

It's kind of upsetting to know that a player you've cheered for and spoke highly of over the years is a damn racist.
