Does anyone watch MLS games or follow the league?
How popular is it in the US? Are all the matches no regular TV? How are the attendances? I noticed there are 10 teams (2 more coming in 2005).
Why don't they add more teams like Canadian ones (similar to how NHL has Canadian and US teams). I think this would be great!
How much does it cost to see a regular MLS game?
I think you're talking about Dwayne DeRosario's goal, which was awesome.Originally posted by davidcfs
Did anyone see the goal the San Jose Earth Qaukes scored tonight? It was freaking amazing, I have no idea who that guy was or who the other team was... but damn it, I am now gonna watch more MLS!

Fun facts about MLS
Average attendance: 15,000
Average TV audience:
- on ABC: 1,000,000
- on ESPN2: 200,000
Average Adu game attendance: 22,000
Average Adu game TV audience:
- on ABC: 1,400,000
- on ESPN2: 350,000
MLS average attendance is almost 5 times as large as A-League (Division 2) attendance and almost 20 times as large as Division 3 attendance.
Ticket prices range from $10 to $50, depending on team and seating location. Kansas City I think has the cheapest tickets, averaging around $15. Most expensive tickets are either LA, Chicago or the MetroStars - those cost on average about double what KC tickets cost.
