Does anyone watch MLS games or follow the league?

Does anyone watch MLS games or follow the league?

How popular is it in the US? Are all the matches no regular TV? How are the attendances? I noticed there are 10 teams (2 more coming in 2005).

Why don't they add more teams like Canadian ones (similar to how NHL has Canadian and US teams). I think this would be great!

How much does it cost to see a regular MLS game?

no.

However I am interested in knowing how much it costs to spectate a match. In my country I pay $5.00 for a ticket. I'm sure when the APL (Australian Premier League) comes along it will increase.

I follow the MLS and it is starting to pick up a stronger fan following here. The games come on ESPN every Saturday and also on FSW every saturday night the games have become very exciting.

they average around 10-20 thousand a game, and they haven't put in a canadian team because they don't attract fans except in Montreal and the US hates the french-canadians.

A team in Toronto would surely get at least 13,000 ppl a game. Hell, id buy season tickets. Theres really no competition, for the most part nobody here cares about the blue jays, and the argos (CFL team). Theres no bigger european soccer crazy city in all of North America, the only problem is that whether theyll care about a local team is a mystery.

I totally have to disagree. They have an A-League team in Toronto if you didn't know. They average 2,734 fans a game. That's not very good. That's below the league average of 3,690. Even if they had an MLS team they would get more fans but I don't think enough. For all those die-hard soccer fans in Toronto, they can take the fast ferry over to Rochester in a couple of years and watch an MLS game.

ABSOLUTELY! NOT!;) But now that the new expansion team is LOS ANGELES CHIVAS:rockman: I will most definitely pay more attention to the MLS next year, just like a few million more die hard CHIVAS fans out there in the US.
