I downloaded the roster then installed this, will that make it not work?

You can use EA squad updates or Fidel's edited db, you can't use both. But both will work with Fidel's cl.ini file.

Fidel, I am trying to test the various playerinstruction codes in the formations table. I was planning on posting them all here, and listing what each code does. But any edits I try and make to the formations table, do not show up in-game. My edits to the players table show up in-game, but not any edits to the formations table. Do you know why that is? Thanks.

EDIT: Okay, so I got the game to read my formations edits by editing the default_teamsheet table.

Player instruction codes for 4-back backline:

Positions 1 and 4, RB and LB:
Default balanced = 8
Always overlap = 4
Stay back while attacking = 16

Positions 2 and 3, RCB and LCB:
Default stay back while attacking = 16
Join the attack = 1
Play as striker (for final minutes of a game) = 2

Default instructions for all 4-back teams in FIFA 15 is currently:
RB = 8 Default balanced
RCB = 16 Stay back while attacking
LCB = 16 Stay back while attacking
LB = 8 Default balanced

I would change default instructions for all teams to:
RB = 4 Always overlap
RCB 16 = 1 Join the attack
LCB 16 = 1 Join the attack
LB = 4 Always overlap

Hello to everyone, I'm sorry but I'm busy!
No more free time to reply to all.
Anyway, some tips/answers to common questions about fifa15 full/my mods:
I don't have released any db mod for 15 full at moment, I don't anderstand how people ask for roster update in game yes or not, the reaply is YES use roster's update- also suggested).
You can use gp evo AI for career mode, and origin online to update rosters at career startup.
According to the real season I suggest to close tranfers at career startup from options, wait the winter market (I prefer this way in order to start a career according to the real).
You can not use gp evo AI for online mode matches (you can play an online match agaist a friend only if the two players have the same gp evo AI installed).
To play online match you must restart the game without gp evo enabled.
At end of gp evo career mode match, save career, exit fifa.
Rename cl.ini in cl.ini.bk
Restart fifa and play online games (ping pong matches, I've tryed out, to fast online games, slider's are ovewrited in online games). When you want to play/continue your career mode re-apply gp evo.

To everyone: I like people who speak about gameplay in my thread.

To bangus about db, really good work, check out at value in the db (about new player's instructions) compare to values in fifa game, browse squads.
For example I don't have any defence problem in my juventus in career mode, go to juventus from game menù (I mean original rost update), browse tactic and player istructions, take a screenshot for all players special instructions.
Exit fifa, open the db (or saved roster file, suggested), check at players istructions values and try to map all values compared to your screenshots in game (value= effect in game, read common ea instruction on the screen).
At start you can map only common and important values.
You can use this method also to check out at new traits.
About your edits in formation not visible in-game, you are editing the wrong table.
You must edit the defaultteamdata table this year in order to see ingame team's formation tweaks.

I like the new fifa a lot, really. I am very pleased with the game this year.
I use gp evo 1.0 (no other tweaks)+included game/gamepad/sliders settings+career mode-last original roster updates+my cmsettings (my career mode important tweak, real player's daily energy recover and many more commons tweaks like min player's attributes value, etc, if think to publish soon ans easy career mode mod, no tool).
Generate champions group, no market at career start, enjoy the game.
I'm waiting for an automatic regenerator from programmers and then I'll publish new tools, I don't have free time to manually regenerate all required files, also this way cause issue with other mods, I think you imagine how I means.

I'll try to post many more tips and suggestions asap.
Another two words about new game: this year I see in the game tevez is tevez, I score goals like the real, I can see the differences in all players.
I do not know if I'm crazy, but this game really is beautiful in all aspects!

Hello bro, in my fifa game I dont have any gfx issue from distance.
I see all shoes/hair details from long or close distance, in replay or gameplay or nis. Do you use max settings?
I read all your requests, I'll share the db with all shoes, teams, kits, balls unlocked in.

Played last night a match in career mode, ucl match, in rain mode, superb smoth gameplay, no lags, perfect game.
The game is really difficulty in rain mode, I win the match 0-1, last minutes AI put all players in attack, but I defended very well, no cpuai cheats (gp evo).

Hello,

I have now played arround 4 matches with your gameplay in World class career mode. I play with assisted mode because I play with keyboard.
The overall feel is that it brings it a bit closer to Fifa 14. Theere seems to be more space on the midfield and it is not so dificult to take the team the the other half. There seems also to be less variety on goal chances. On the other half the game seems to be a bit smoother and less frustrating due to the slower pacing. It seems it is a bit easier to defend. I had to change some sliders for I am finding it to dificult to tackle and control the defence.

Honestly I find the vanilla gameplay to be very good, with the only problem of being very dificult to defend on world class (defence seems cahotic, we cant get hold of it! Every tackle seems to come by chance instead of organized defence) Fighting in midfield and chance creation seems almost perfect. Professional on the other hand has no dificulty at all.
The only thing I would be searching is a less demanding defense sistem or else a less imaginative and agressive atacking AI.

The only table needed to edit player instructions is the default_teamsheets table. The only table needed to edit team tactics like aggression, buildup speed, etc is the defaultteamdata table.

The player instructions will take a while to decode. CB, RB and LB is easy because there is only one instruction with three settings options, meaning there are only three instruction codes for each position. But some positions have up to three different instructions, with two or three settings options for each instruction. There are 34 different code combinations for the position 10 player instructions for example. I'm compiling an Excel spreadsheet with all the codes for each position. I plan on testing them in-game to find out each code's specific instructions combination.

To check out if you have installed the tool in the right folder:
when you enable new cmsettings you can see new bmp logo at game start.

Start FIFA15 CAREER MODE EDITOR (Admin Rights for Windows 7/8).
1) Click Career Mode Editor button, edit general career/tournament settings mode (cmsettings.ini), save file
2) Click to enable you edited cmsettings.ini file in game (regeneration isn't required) close tool, enjoy.

Start game, start a new career and enjoy your new career mode settings!

IMPORTANT TIPS:

Click on "CM Backup" (\CM EDITOR\CM Backup), here are stored all original CM and game files (useful backup).
\CM EDITOR\CM_FILES is tool's temp folder.

CREATE YOUR OWN PATCH AND SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!
To pack your cm mod use folders/files structure that the tool will create for you in FIFA 15 folder.
Remember to add in your career mode mod package the manually regenerated data_ini_extra.bh file,
at moment this is required because no regeneration tool is out.

At moment is possible to edit the cmsettings.ini file only, I add advanced career mode files in the future
when regenerator's tools will be made and EASF will be decrypted
I do not have much free time to extract all files from RAM and perform bh hex editing regeneration.
Wait FIFA 15 CM TOOL 2.0 to edit advanced career mode settings (the whole career mode structure).

I think this gameplay combined with the sliders make the pace of the game perfect. Keeping possession is a joy, and scoring just feels more of an achievement, even when you do it with ease. I think it's because you have to work a little harder to break them down.

I am finding things a tad easy though. I tried increasing the offence and defence by 1 in the INI file and I think it makes a difference but not sure, either way it's still a touch on the easy side, especially when against stronger opponents who I expect to 'give me a game'.

I tried switching to World Class but the CPU is just a little too intense, and ruins the nice gameplay the mod brings.

I have had some great games against the lesser sides in career mode, that I've dominated as I would expect (I'm Man City) and produced a wide variety of results, from 4-3's, 4/5-0's to 1/2 - 0's etc.

I'm unbeaten though, and still find it easy against the big teams which is my only gripe. I think if the CPU can tighten their defence a little more and perhaps keep possession more wisely, especially as a bigger team, those results will turn into draws and even losses.

Great mod though, and a vast improvement from vanilla gameplay, which isn't that bad in itself!

Will your LOD tool include the fix for Anti-Aliasing? I saw that mod on Moddingway and he managed to remove the Anti-Aliasing problems. I don't really know where he fixed that but I don't like the other fixes he made to DOF and postfx, so I won't use it.

Hey everyone and Fidel, here is some feedback.

The Environment:

I play in world class, assisted gameplay. Professional is too easy. Marking positioning was discovered to be too intense at 75, so took it back to 65.

My observations, the good and the bad:

- excellent AI, very strategic and capable.
- AI has even passed back to the goalkeeper.
- Clearances are still panic'd but thats per the original.
- Reaction of the players on the ball is a bit slow unfortunately. I click a button but it doesn't take immediately.
- Even faster players sometimes feel slow on initial acceleration, again this might be the fact that we have acceleration toned down vs. the cl.ini but this can cause issues when dribbling past slower players.
- Cheat AI is still active I feel. I was playing a game Dortmund vs Malaga. and in the last 5-10 minutes, malaga became a different team, and strangely my own players started making very very strange mistakes. Basically I was up 3-0 and they got two goals in those 5-10 minutes. also noticed that even though I was kicking the ball well ahead of one of my fastest players (Reus), a CB i believe still managed to chase and catch up to me, for some reason despite still goo staminda, Reus suddenly slowed down. Finally, I noticed in one on one battles, like I go up against the AI in trying to get to the ball etc... the PC AI almost always wins.

So bottom line: Amazing AI and the game feels much better than without the AI, however, the above issues do take away from the gameplay and add frustration to the game at times. The game is slower and feels better coordinated. EA hopefully will address the w ay the AI dribbles however, as they toss the ball from side to side, and my AI defenders don't seem to be able to tackle.
