Di Canio faces action after another nazi salute

ROME, Italy -- Lazio forward Paolo Di Canio could face disciplinary action after appearing to give a fascist salute to his fans for the second time this season.

Italian papers have shown photos showing Di Canio with his arm outstretched, palm facing down, as he was being substituted during the Sunday's 2-1 defeat by Livorno.

The arm gesture is associated in Italy with the salute used under the rule of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.

Di Canio has no regrets

He said: "I will always salute because it gives me a sense of belonging to my people."

Heh....Di Canio was always abit of a weirdo.....wouldnt call him a twat though....still remember him letting go of a goal to help some guy who was injured back when he was with West Ham.

but i will never forget once where he pushed the ref down like sum NFL game during his sheffield wed days...

you better not be one of the people in the "racism in football is bad thread" badmouthing racsim and its supporters because this is one of the most racist things someone can do. It right away praises the nazis who threw live innocent jewish babies and other people into ovens. His actions should cancel out any respect a normal person has for him. I bet the injured person he helped wasn't a black player was he?

Di Canio is a nutter period. He was loved in England, because while he was very "different" he was honest and technically and physically brilliant (see his volley goal from outside of the box for West Ham, anyone remember that???). Since he has gone back to Italy, he has shown what he is about, or maybe even changed for the worst. People are free to think what they want, but when you support ideas that may lead to or have lead to the injury of other people, then problems arise.
