I agree with mickey, this team has no defensive midfield.

Besides, barça plays 4-3-3 with only 1 striker. Saviola would be out and someone else would enter in the midfiled.

If having Deco in Barcelona means that Ballack is not comming, I don't like the idea. I would prefer Ballack over Deco.

Why would he be jealous? Athletic de Bilbao is one of the most beautiful clubs in Europe, everywhere they're getting players from other countries, but they still don't buy non-Baque players. I have more respect for them than all those clubs buying players from every part of the world

You should give him the benefit of the doubt and evaluate his capabilities after watching him play a few games in a stroger league. I trully think that Deco is the best number 10 in Europe right after Ronaldinho. BTW i´ve never seen a number 10 shirt running all the field and tackling like he does and that is a plus to his great offensive capabilities. If he turns to play at La Liga i´m sure he will prove his worth.

I agree 100% with you, i love Athletic Bilbao posture, great club with a very strong identity, in fact they are my favourite spanish club besides Barcelona.

Deco is an impressive player.
I have to take my hat of to FC Porto for beeing able to mantain Deco so many years in their squad.

Deco plays with charm, and does perform magic.

For the ones with doubt. Wait and see.

Portugal won the first match when Deco left the bench and he was one of the best players, if not the best. Also he has been for Porto like Ronaldinho for Barça and that team won the CL although some people don't like it.

I just read in the portuguese newspaper O jogo, that Deco prefers Barcelona to Chelsea and that he really wants to be transfered to Catalunia. They also said that Laporta had dinner with Pinto da Costa in Porto. Things are beggining to become clear.

Barça could use Ballack better than Deco. Ballack works more on the field and can play more defensive. What Deco does we already have in Ronaldinho, so i kinda agree with the people who said they rather play Luis Garcia cause he can play on the left wing with Giuly on the right side.

Bayern wanted Deco and that was the key for Barça getting Ballack, when Bayern realized Deco was going to Chelsea then they started demanding 50 mil and 100 mil for Ballack so it looks to me that either Barça gets Deco and gets back at Bayern or maybe this is just a strategy to go for Ballack again.

Ballack doesn't know how to play deffensive. It's for that reason that he has not played very good at Bayern and he is class playing for Germany.

Anyway Barça is still negociating for Ballack. I can image a line-up with one of them, with both... really hard... unless they want that Ballack plays instead of Motta as DM, what would be a suicide.

Luis García... I appreciate him but any comparison with Deco is just :|
