Well looks like it could be happening. Big mistake for Inter is what I think. If Veiri gets hurt and misses some games(which he will) then they will have no one else to go to. Recoba is good and Martins is showing a lot of promise but they can't fill the void left by Vieri or Crespo. Oh well, I guess money talks, and trophy's walk.

After all their summer transfer activity, what I thought Chelsea needed was a grafter in midfield, and a top quality out-and-out striker.

Gudjohnsen barely scored a goal in the latter part of last season, and the one-on-one miss he made against Dudek in the previous game showed that he is not of top quality.

Hasselbaink struggled to get into any sort of form last term and is getting on.

Forssell is still young and has a lot to learn.

Mutu is more of a support forward instead of an out-and-out striker. Therefore they need somebody in the form of Hernan Crespo.

Add a midfielder of the mould of Davids/Vieira/Keane, then their team is close to being complete.

i dont get this Abromovich guy, OBVIOUSLY he has a thing for serie a talents (Davids, Nesta, Vieri, Crespo, Emerson) and Veron who lets face it was bought b/c of play in the serie a, not the epl. so my question is, why didnt he buy an Italian team in financial trouble (Lazio).

Friday may be the day that Crespo goes to Chelsea for 32m euro's. That's a lot of cash. An offer that can't refused. I saw also that Inter could get Julio Ricardo Cruz of Bologna if Crespo leaves.

Inter have reportedly accepted Chelsea's 25 million pound deal !!! Crespo will arrive in England for a medical soon.

thats a BIG BIG transfer !

Crespo and Vieri are lethal together imo...and i dont see who Inter are gonna replace Crespo with.

thats dumb!!!! they already have good strikers it looks like Abromovich wants to buy big named players so theyll be looked at like the Man u's the Arsenal's the Real's and the Inter's..................its not gonna happen u have to make a name for urself 1st not try to own the world by throwin money around like a maniac, and have all this big names without any chemistry and care about how all the players are gonna be used to exploit their talent.

yeah...but look...its not like Roman is leaving after this year...hes staying....why not buy as many good players this year if you can right....its like saying....well its gonna take time for them to gel so dont buy all these players right away....but mine as well buy them now so they can gel NOW and by next year or the year after they will be very good....no point in waiting when you dont have to you know

i got this news off a reliable source on some other Juve boards.

anyway, i hear that Juve are trying to sell Davids to Chelsea too . I wouldn't neccessarily see that as a bad move considering his age but he is one of my most favorite players and is an Icon ! i can't imagine Juve without him :( I would ssooo love to see him finish his career at Juve...and his agent says thats exactly what he wants to do...but the Juve board are trying to make some money off him...

if he goes i hope Juve try and pry Makelele .....

Milanello : England has a bigger market than Italy, and although he is stinkin rich I dont think he likes to spoil his money

I think Inter should sell Vieri, he's getting old and a guy with that size will get slower and slower as soon as he hits the 30's.
I like Crespo better than Vieri anyway.

thats so not true.

Italian clubs have been richer than the english ones for quite a while now (ManU being the exception).

You think the Agnellis are 'spoiling' their money by owning Juve ? or Berlusconi is 'spoiling' his money by owning Milan ? or Morrati is 'spoiling' his money by owning Inter ?

some clubs have had financial trouble, but the EPL isn't free from em either. Except ManU and now Chelsea, no other English club rank among the super rich in world football....while the big 3 in Italy have always been in the top 10.

bigger market my ass.
