I have figured out some strange behaviour of FIFA 10.

1) The international_ids table accepts only 52 entries, 53rd makes FIFA to crash in PRO mode. Unfortunately this limits the possibility to associate a Country with a National Team and this is necessary in order to create a league and other tournaments for that country (yes this is a little bit crazy but it is the way FIFA 10 works).
2) Some ids normally used by the National teams seem to be “forbidden” for a newly created team. For example I tried Slovakia (1360) and Colombia (1373) both of them causes a crash if selected in the Kick-off menu. The exact same team but with a different id instead works (for example I used 191360 and 191373).
3) I didn’t find a way to make a new national team to appear in PRO mode, for example it is impossible to select Hamzik and play with Slovakia also if Slovakia exists. Instead it may happen that our National team plays against Slovakia. The only way (tried by Skeptik and not me) is to use for your own national team the id of another national team already existing in the game.

All these are bad news for patch makers. This means that FIFA 10 is not as robust as FIFA 09 was and many rules are built in the executable code and not inherited by the database.

Slovakia worked for me under ID 1360. So far I've imported 8 national teams from my 09 patch and they all work in kick-off friendly mode.

Sadly, I think this may be the last year I can play FIFA as I may start a family soon and have hardly any time to play anymore, but I will surely try to put in a few hours for FIFA if possible.

It's more saddening to hear that FIFA 10 is not as kind as FIFA 09 when it comes to editing. Hopefully both of you guys can find ways to make our FIFA 10 more editable and more enjoyable.

For those who have this blue screen and CM crashing issue, I installed 185.85 Nvidia drivers and CM10 has now been stable. This crashing was definitely a driver-error.

Slovakia worked for me under ID 1360. So far I've imported 8 national teams from my 09 patch and they all work in kick-off friendly mode.

I restored the original audio.big from my FIFA 10 ISO. I also restored the original 42 songs from the audio folder, but I have the same problem again - the above mentioned error in SM 10 and in FIFA 10 play the songs I custom added, the Playlist menu still freezes the FIFA.

I suspect either of the two possibilities have happened:
1. The SM 10 and CM 10 somehow have altered the files inside my ISO of FIFA 10, which I load through Daemon Tools. Or
2. The SM 10 and CM 10 have made some changes ouside the FIFA folder. Because even if I delete all folders, remove FIFA, CM, etc. and perform a fresh install, the FIFA 10 keeps all changes from the CM and SM.

Or just something weird is going on with my computer .

I use Windows 7 32 bit RTM.

Hi mate, I can tell you that it's a windows 7 bug, No is a problem the SM10 or CM10. I see the same windows in my laptop with windows 7 rtm installed. I can fix this reinstalling windows. I could verify this in my other pc with XP PRO SP3 installed. No problem there, installing or uninstalling fifa or another program. Anyway, is a bug of windows 7 rtm 7600. Better for use windows 7, wait for REAL final edition.

I haven't tested the reinstallation there, because I've started a career with team I made in CM 10 and don't want to lose my progress. But probably it will be just like in my laptop (same Win version in 32 bit).

I deinstalled and installed it in a custom directory such as cGames\FIFA 2010 and now I have a completely clean FIFA 10 .

I guess the problem was something with the permissions of Win 7 in the Program Files folder, which keeps the old game files even after deleting them.

Hi, this is my first post over here, although I have been visiting this forum frequently before.

I do encounter one problem with CM10: Whatever boot I assign to players using CM10, they will still be wearing the original one in the game. When I edit players ingame to make them wear other boots, the game doesn't seem to accept it either (I can save changes, however when I edit the player again, I see that the game has set him back to the old boots). I am using Windows 7 (64bit), running both CM and FIFA as administrator. Can anyone help me out?

rinaldo, i found out what was making all teams formations become 4-2-2.

it happens when i clean my fat in cm10 & i did make a back up of my data
folder, but im gonna reinstall & try again.

dont know if anybody has mentioned anything like this happening.

maybe you might have an idea why.

EDIT

i forgot to delete my squads folder, when i did it was back to normal.
but when i redownload the online roster update & apply it it resets my
formations to 4-4-2.

just wondering if thats a cm10 issue.
