Hey,

I've been working on a tournament with CM - it is the Australian A-league Playoffs, which decide the champion at the end of each season. It is a somewhat complicated tournament, so I drew a quick diagram:



Basically teams 1, 2, 3 and 4 occupy these spots on the table at the end of the season, teams 1 and two play off as do 3 & 4 (semi finals), the winner of 1 v 2 goes straight to the final while the looser of 1 v 2 plays the winner of 3 v 4 (preliminary final) for the other spot in the final. The first matches are home and away, the rest of the games are played with one game only. In reality there is no 3/4th place play-off, however because of the way fifa 07 recognises tournaments it seems this will need to be included (otherwise the preliminary final would be seen as a 3rd/4th place play-off).

This is what I've done in CM (starting at the bottom):

Qualifying Round 1 (two games per team):

Q1/2 - Team 1 v Team 2
Q3/4 - Team 3 v Team 4

Qualifying Round 2 (one game per team):

Looser of Q1/2 v Winner of Q3/4

3rd/4th Place playoff (one game per team):

Looser of Qualifying Round 2 v Looser of Q3/Q4

Final (one game per team):

Winner of Q1/2 v Winner of Qualifying Round 2.

To me this makes logical sense and works perfectly up to the final.

However I am having one problem that I cannot seem to solve - In the Final, rather than the winner of Q1/2 playing, the final is between the winner of Q2/2 and the winner of Qualifying Round 2 - in other words the team that wins Q1/1 is never seen again.

I have tried swapping Q1/2 with Q2/2, I've tried playing around with start/end dates, I've tried everything I can think of....

Does anyone know why this might be happening and how to stop it?

This was a known problem related with an operation of remove of a graphic object followed by a reload of the same object but it should be solved from release 2.03.
Let me know if you have seen the problem also i release 2.03 and if you think it is still related with the remove operation.

Help me out here. Which version is released right now? and do you have any idea when you might get 2.03 into beta? I can help beta test your next release on my laptop and it won't effect my actual database.

hey ronaldo,

I just installed v2.03 and now every time i try to open the database with open-auto, I get error 10002: fifa.fat file not found but have no problem when i use open-select all. Any suggestions?

Probably you have problems with the registry file, it is not pointing to the right directory where your FIFA is installed. Some patches can generate this problem. You should edit the registry with regedit and fix it. if you need more details ... ask.

it turns out there was something more wrong with the game itself. It crashed one day while i was playing and never opened again, so i just did a 'fresh' installby replacing all my zdatas and other graphical files. Its worked since then and ive had no problem. I was 'messing around' with alot of cmp patches and seeing what i could do and what i couldnt, so it wasnt all that unexpected. Thanks for the help though, if it happens in the future, i will be certain to think of that.

hello rinaldo :) i've installed a clean n fresh copy of fifa07 then installed a patch World Roster Update Patch 2007 v3.0 from FIFA KOREA (http://www.fifakorea.net/english). when i try to use ur CM07 it shows me this message:



how can i solve this prooblem? thanks in advance...

note:
in fifa.db of clean n fresh copy of fifa07 Didier Drogba's id is 31432 but in fifa.db of fifa07 after World Roster Update Patch 2007 v3.0 being installed Didier Drogba's id changed to 4, is this the cause of this problem?
