Thanks for asking. Well, the database is pretty much finished. I'm working on graphics. But My work has taken up all my time lately. I've started a missionary training school here in Brazil. So I haven't got much time to work on things. Now it's only the weekend, or basically saturday, my day off. But I'm almost finished with the patch. I have to finish some minikits, and make some adjustments to the converted kits, from 2005 to accomodate long sleeves, and make a few kits and logos. I just got a e-mail from somebody offering to make logos, so that may help me some.
And then of course the installer, which shouldn't be a big deal. I'm sorry it has delayed so long. But I'm doing other important work here.
By the time it's finished, shortly after, I'll have to do a roster update to accomodate the MLS and USL seasons. But I will release it with before the MLS season with the older rosters. Then hopefully later release one with updated rosters of the 2006 season.
I hope to have it done the next few weeks. It's too bad, because it would have been done a lot earlier if I didn't have a database problem to deal with, but i did for some reason. But now it's fixed.
It's a great patch, I'm enjoying playing the unfinished version. I'll try to discipline myself not to play it, but to finish the patch.

Donovanfan, thanks for the update. I wish you good luck with your other endeavors down in Brasil. Honestly, this FIFA 06 game is just a hobby to me and I appreciate all of the hard work that all of you all do in your spare time with making great enhancements and a better overall gaming experience. Sorry, but this version doesn't include any sort of global roster update, but this patch is going to be incorporated into Ockman CEP, so you can look forward to that. An MLS/USL roster/kit update will come after the season starts in a month or so.

World Cup USA Patch - Fifa World Cup 06
This is a small patch that will update the USA squad for the EA Fifa World Cup 06 game.
Add Ben Olsen to the squad
Will put the real final 23 of the 2006 squad when playing with default squads in the World Cup mode, so you don't have to select it every time.
Will put change the formation to the real one used during the World Cup. 4-5-1, as uneffective as it was during the cup. I chose the Ghana/USA game as starting 11, minus Conrad, add Pope.
Install it in the data\cmn in the game directory. Back up original if you like to play online, because this database will not, as far as I know, will work with online play.

Hey donovan, In 2005 you had all of the international teams with kits completed including some non fifa affiliates. Im wondering where you got the pics of these kits or how you knew what to make them look like. Ive found very little online to go by.
Also if you still have the files, would there be any point to requesting them from you to possibly import into 2006. I just started doing this kind of editing so I dont know if that would even work, whether the formats have changes or what. Any info would be greatly appreciated man, and thx again for ISP in 2005, was great fun for quite some time.

Or if you just want to convert kits, you can use kit master by Rinaldo. Using fshtool you can get them out of the .fsh form. You can get these files after you install the patch. check your fifa 2005 directory to see what's there.
Also, many kits I have in that patch were just guesses, since photos on the internet are non-existent for some of the teams. I made many of the concacaf region kits. I had to search long and hard for some of the photos. www.concacaf.com gave me some photos.
Also, I didn't make all the teams, some teams were from other patches. So please seek permissions if you are going to use stuff from other authors, but for my own stuff, you are free to use whatever you want.
I'm sorry if this isn't very detailed. But maybe you can check out my team creation tutorial to help figure out some stuff you need to know to edit the game.

Donovan I wanted to follow up and let you know that we did get the CONCACAF national team kits converted into 06 format and they look good in game. You're guesses are just fine for me the caribbean kits are among the most entertaining in the world in my oppinion.
