Did you figure this out? I was able to add commentary IDs/names to created players using DMB12, I can help if you need it. But I've only done it with IDs already listed in the db files.

yes,please help mate,im using FHL-DB-Editor,i tried to edit in playername and then edit in the line comemtary id,i tried to copy the id number like 923000,but the game crash.If you have another program to edit data base,please share it to me,it would be appreciate mate,thanks a lot

Use DBM 12. The two tables you need are commentarynames and playernames. The commentarynames table lists all the commentary IDs currently working in the game. The playernames table has your created player's commentary name ID; that's what you need to change. Example: Create a player using CM 13 and call him Smith. Look up the commentary ID for Smith in the commentarynames table. Then locate your newly created Smith player in the playernames table, and assign him the Smith commentary ID.

I'm testing to see if the commentary IDs on Wujak's list can be added to the commentarynames table, and then used for newly created players. So far it doesn't work, but I'll test a few more times to make sure.

Some of the db tables don't save properly if you edit them using an editor, it corrupts the table or the edits don't save. I always export the tables, open them with Notepad or Excel, edit them, then import them back into the db. I never have any issues when I do it that way. FYI, DBM 12 displays the players' names and not those symbols, so you can tell which ID belongs to which name.

BTW, I haven't had any success adding new IDs to the db tables. I'm starting to think that list of classic player IDs isn't going to be of any use.

what do you mean "new ids" ?

i can add player, team, name ids no problems.

i try to do what you said but i have problem.for examble : i create ronaldo(brazil) and i want to make his commentary name as Naldo,i look up in commentaryname table and Naldo id is 171919,then i open playername table and find ronaldo(brazil) commentary id is 900000 like the pic below,i tried to change 900000 to 171919,but it wont save,i tried both database master 12 and FHL-DB-Editor(it saved but the game crash when i log in).

I already mentioned many tables don't save when using the editor. You have to export them, open with Excel or Notepad, edit, then import back into the db.

thank you ! it can be saved now,but when i play the game,it wont commentary the name i change,i tried to regenerate too,but it wont work:-(
