I can't believe it :f***: ! MLS is in talks with Mexican club side Chivas de Gudalajara for them to join Major League Soccer!

I mean, I love MLS to death, but let's get real, Chivas would dominate this league. The only teams that could MAYBE beat them are San Jose and Chicago. If the point of MLS is to devolop American talent, why are we selling the best players to Europe (i.e. Tim Howard) and letting Mexican teams into the league?

Well, there's my rant.

pretty much, the owner of Chivas wants to make a Chivas USA for the Chivas fans that live in USA, that way they have a team to go watch and he gets more money. And Chivas' biggest rival, Club America, are also gonna make an MLS team.

And Chivas' owner is trying to make it an All Mexican club, but the MLS wont let him.

MLS will finally have a derby!! ;) :crazyboy: :D

Having an all-Mexican team would be illegal since it would discriminate against other races. MLS has rules that force teams to have a certain amount of Americans anyway.

Having the Chivas owner own a MLS team would be good for the league because it would attract a lot of fans, and thus would give the league more money. I hate Chivas because they are a xenophobic, racist club but since they won't be allowed to do that in MLS I am fine with it.

Chivas USA would get around the rules by using American born players, that have Mexican born parents.

Wouldn't it be better (Enter City Name Here) Chivas?? I know thats how it is in Spanish, but wouldn't it be better that way if its in the US?? It would make more sense... such as Houstan Chivas, or San Diego Chivas, or why not just call them Houston Kids? Or San Diego Kids... BTW for Chivas fans, is the name referring to a kid goat since that is the mascot?? Or are they calling children goats:p

Telling someone they can't play for a team because of their race is racist. It is discrimination.

Chivas won't have a team with Americans with Mexican born parents. If they wanted to do it, they would have to find a lot of guys who aren't professional because they aren't a lot of professional Americans with Mexican parents. I think the only one is Memo Gonzalez who plays for LA Galaxy.

Anyway, if they tried to do this, someone would sue them because it would be obvious discrimination. There will be a bunch of guys on the Chivas team that aren't of Mexican decent.
