Chelsea make their move for Ferdinand

I think Man U. will play Chelsea and Madird off each other. They will then sell him to Madrid because the couldn't sell him to another EPL team. Then with the money I think the get Dawson from Nottingham Forrest and maybe another top tier young defender. I mean 2 for 1 isn't bad.

MAybe Chelsea's reserves should be made a team on its own. ANd then start in div.3(H) Would be cool, one week they would play Arsenal for the 1st team, and then the week after they would play Swansea(H)

Rio isn't going anywhere, it's just rumour. Then again nobody believed Beckham would go anywhere and we all know what happened. Though Beckham had a personal rift with Fergie, something Rio hasn't.

IMO Man U shouldn't sell Rio Ferdinand for any amount of cash. Good top of the line defenders are hard to come by and selling him will probably mean that you can only fine a downgrade defender(s) to fill his spot, IMO Man U shouldn't do it...

Chelsea won't buy Ferdinand, he's thick as a whale's cock. How do you forget to take a drug test?

They have enough problems with Desilley anyway.

I dun undertsand either why would Chelski and Madrid want him, lol.

But no way we sell him, people may think we overpaid for rio, but i would guess that if we were looking to buy someone who posesses his qualities and is of the same age, ability and readiness for first team football, then we'd still be paying in the region of £25-30 million.

He was the best defender in the World Cup and the best centre back in England, so of course he is worth a 25 million transfer fee, even more magnified by how bad United's defence has been since his ban started. Funny, Madrid and Chelsea both see United's defence badly missing Rio, so now they try and get him, IMO Chelsea don't need him, they have Terry and Gallas who are world class themselves, but for Madrid he would be a class signing. Of course he aint going to leave United any time soon.

How can you be the best defender in the World Cup if your team gets eliminated in the quarter finals? *sigh* that's what I call biased

But I agree with you. He's definitely worth 25 million, quality defenders are rare and ManU's defense is looking like Swiss cheese right now.

Errrr no, even Pele said he was the best defender in the world cup and was rated that. We got eliminated by Brazil and it was a David Seamen error which cost us.

Pele knows fuck all though. He thinks Rustu is one of the top 100 players in the history of the game.

Like it's already been said Fifa gave him limitations on who he picks for his list, the list was very political. Im sure if Pele had his way and no limitations he would pick a better list. Know fuc k all?, he is known as the greatest thats ever played the game and won world cups so i think he knows what he is talking about ;)

Hes still a good defender....and would be a regular starter at chelsea every week, in front of terry for definite.

Johnson, Terry, Gallas, Bridge

He'd be on the bench.

If Ferdinand went to Chelsea then I really doubt he would be benched...

Would probably be a starter though he would also be included in the rotation system..

The problem is that there are rumors than Man U are a little fed up with him. Of course I don't want that to happen, but they are saying that last year, Rio thought about going to Chelsea and that pissed the board off, then this drug saga which is the breaking point. The guy is paid 90,000 pounds per week and there's no guarantee the board will put up with him IF the rumors are true. I hope not though, coz I think he is commited to Man U.
