Nice job at the Camp Nou tonight. You deserved that draw.

Lampard scored a cracker, but somehow I saw it coming. Same goes for Drogba's goal. I knew it would end in a goal the second Essien started the counter attack.

I hope the next time we meet, we'll have Eto'o back.

Yeah, good game man, I enjoyed it ALL. Both teams gave as good as they got, so nobody can say they were hard done by.

The ref was rubbish for sure. Some of those bookings were just stupid. It was nothing like the English media are reporting today. They are mostly Chelsea haters anyway, so whatever they say will not surprise me at all.

I thought both sides played good football, scored great goals and showed a high level of commitment. I didn't think it was an over physical game at all. Sure there were a couple of personal things going on but thats normal. I saw a couple of incidents that were distastful but thats football. I enjoyed the drama of it all entirely. I was happy for Eidur scoring. That should really endear him to the Barca faithful because I read he was getting some negative opinions directed towards him from some quarters.

Lots of people are just taking this game as a chance to slag off Chelsea and Barca. Thats OK, we know why they do that. They wish that the club that they support would attract even half the publicity that these two teams get when they play each other. They also wish that their team was even half as good as we are too.

All that matters in this instance are the opinions of true Barca fans and true Chelsea fans. Good luck in the rest of the group Barca.

On the brightside, we can breathe easier now because we don't have any team we're playing in the near future in the CL which we have to fear. It's scary to play against Barca but even with Man U, we can go in confident of points. ESPN and TSN by the way are retards. They only ocassionally show the best CL game on the day. Today, they show Arse against CSKA. Lucky for them it was a good game. Arsenal took about a billion shots, never scored, and CSKA in the end were taking it easy because they knew it Arsenal weren't gonna score.

An effin' fine for 6 Yellow's in that game? Don't they realize that only a portion of those were real yellows. Idiots.

Did DamienDuff go on exile from this thread or something. And I really hope he hasn't turned a Geordie from his love for that username.

UEFA automatically fines a team when they receive 5 or more yellow cards in one match. They're following protocol.
We're being punished as well.

UEFA aint going to bother to check to see whether the yellows were fair or not. They are not that interested in the facts. 6 yellow cards = Fine. Done.

Anyway this crap shouldn't detract from the fact that we (both teams), had a hell of a game. Man, I'm still buzzing from that night, really. :rockman:

Yeah, I know about that 6 yellow rule, but they should really review those yellows to see if any were clear dives or whatever occurred in order for no fine being issued. I was really wondering what effects would occur if Platini won the UEFA election. If he's a radical idiot then it would be bad. You'd think that things would be great with a Scandinavian running things but their are definetely certain problems.

Drogba's signed a 4 year contract. I think that that was a bad idea because I'm unsure that he'll be good what he was 4 years from now. It's hard to play that physical game by that age. A bad bad idea. Just because he's playing great now doesn't mean you hand him a 4 year deal. Three years max. A nice gesture though to at least give him a new contract.

Cudicini's back and Hilario probably won't start against the Spurs but he's said he's okay with that. Man Untd's been in another convincing win so you can't help but feel that the pressure's a bit on us although they're probably thinking the same.

I feel like Hilario has proven himself, so now that Mourinho has justified his transfer, I think Cudicini is well-deserving for some play. I think maybe rotating them would be alright, 3 games Cudi, 1 game Hilario.

About the Drogba contract, I agree that Drogba will deteriorate, butI doubt Chelsea'll let his contract finish without selling him. I don't see the problem with selling him some months later.

Does anyone think Chelsea should buy or loan anyone during the January window?

Yes. A Centre back and a left winger. Another striker would be nice but that's just aking for too much.

They let Kompany go to Ham

I'm feeling great mate. I know that my team's gonna win the Premiership even after dropping points here and there because the other teams will drop more points. I also know that my team will be the best at the end of the season.
The weather's pretty good here too so I'm feeling good. Thanks for your concern though.
