for the love of god put allegedly in there if it is not proven. last thing needed is a libel case. by all means talk about it but don't imply guilt.

The two snippets of film involving Frank Arnesen and Harry Redknapp had one thing in common. At no time did the dodgy agents inform either person that the players clubs were in the dark about the players being touted around. At Liverpool, the cheif scout was told that the club didn't know. In that incident the chief scout at Liverpool said he was aware that Middlesbrough were unaware. Now, that is tapping up. The incidents involving Arnesen and Redknapp were not. Huge difference. If you would have noticed that important ommission by trhe BBC, you would be aware that those two cases have nothing to answer at all. Redknapp even said "IF Todd is available, then yes I would be interested". That is not tapping up, that is showing an interest in a player IF he is available, with Redknapp assuming that nothing will be done until the players club has been informed. This aspect was very misleading by the BBC, and as expected the FA, having already seen the film, have said that Redknapp and Arnesen have nothing to worry about. The same cannot be said for Liverpool and Allardyce.

There are still 5 more managers in that report who were not named tonight. One is a Frenchman who manages a North London club. I think Arsenal have more need to worry than we have. Wenger is one of the managers accused of accepting a bung.

And what if we did get 3 points deducted? You think that would prevent us from winning another league title this season? Judging by the rest of the EPL clubs, I would think not a blind bit of difference. 3 points....HAH...we wouldn't even notice it.

As far as I know you can't get 3 points deducted coz the player was an under-age player. Would it not come under a different set of regulations therefore the 3-point deduction suspension would not have been breached. (if you know what i mean) You can only get deducted the points from tapping up players protected under the professional contract regulations. Under the terms of the suspension that is. Chelsea have no need to worry, unless there are other things not televised on the BBC's footage.

Sorry for my bad explanation, hope you can understand.

No I got it Sean, and you are dead right mate. Thats the reason why Leeds United are getting nowhere with their ungrounded allegations concerning 2 of their youth players coming to Chelsea.

goes to show you how everyone jump the gun when Chelsea are involved. I myself was sh!tting it if Man U's name would be mentioned. The mere mention of Chelsea maybe getting caught up in another tap-up has fans of other teams foaming at the mouth for a point deduction. I'd prefer to beat you on the pitch rather than a technicality.

Fulham at Craven Cottage tommorow fellas. Looking forward to this one for sure. Fulham have a depleted squad and Bullard and Boa Morte are just 2 players who will be absent. Chris Coleman has said that his squad cannot compete tommorow by playing football, so he has told his side to get stuck in to Chelsea and make it physical and to "Kick them off our manor". Charming.

The guys are prepared though and have vowed to keep cool heads as we give them a beating.

Be nice to see Sheva score in this one.

Well, Fulham did as Coleman asked and kicked our guys all over the pitch. How Michael Brown was not sent of I do not know. The guy is a thug.

Anyway a 2-0 win for us. Both goals by Frankie. That takes us top of the table for the first time this season. If Reading beat Man U we will stay there, for the rest of the season hopefully :wootman:

Fulham gave you lot a good test for sixty odd minutes but did not have the stamina to hold on for a draw. I was pretty impressed with Fulham, Brown might had been over the top for one or two instances but most of the time I thought Fulham put in fair tackles and the ref had a good game. Diop was magnificent.

Very good game for the neutral... Abit lucky with the penalty, but its just one of them things.

Fulham played some very good football at times and to be honest i wasnt that impressed with Chelseas final product on many occasion.

But still... 2-0 is always a good results.

Yeh Well done Chelsea.
I was there today and it was a good game, nicely balanced for the first 50 minutes or so but then i think our slightly reserves team couldnt keep up the level. I was thinking today would have been an ideal game for Sheva to score in, considering how bad we were against Wycombe (2-1 them) , but he was seriously toothless, how your fans can be chanting his name when he's done Nowt is beyond me.

The penalty was a sure fire intentional handball. As he laid on the floor, Rossenior punched the ball away from under the players feet. A definate penalty. Nothing lucky about it at all. The second goal was a class team effort. That passing move ripped right through Fulham. Fulham did put up a fight thats for sure, and most of it was tough but fair football, but I still maintain that Brown is a <unt that needs sorting out before he really does a Thatcher on someone.

Man United drew with Reading. We are top of the table by 2 points. Now we want Bolton to beat Pompey and that will be even sweeter.

Ferreirra stepped in for an injured JT today, so the defence was bound to be a little aprehensive. In fact they were pretty solid all in all and still kept a clean sheet today.

You can see that the moves are there for us, and in a few more games it will get smoother. When you have a team in front of you who harrass and chase as Fulham did today, its important that you have to be sharper than they are at the moment. Even so we still walk away with a 2-0 victory, while Man U draw 1-1.

Because its NOW that he needs the support mate. It's no good chanting someones name ONLY when they are doing well is it? He needs time to settle and when he does, the waiting will be worth it.

Fernandez mate.....thats all you lot will see of the top of the table this season. It just looks all wrong unless Chelsea are the name at the top........ :wootman: :funny:

Yeh i've never really taken to Brown, i mean there are players who are hard but fair, but he's too often involved in controversey for my liking, i wish he was more like Diop - the original Wardrobe from the C.S Lewis Classic.

Well, most teams have a guy like Brown at one time or another. The competitiveness is fine, and its expected but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed and Brown does that. As much as Dennis Wise is still loved by many Chelsea fans, he was too much of a thug for my liking. You can still be tough without being a psychopath. John Terry and Stuart Pierce come to mind as two examples.
