That said, he did go down rather easily once or twice, but not every time he was within a yard of a defender.

I guess old habits die hard, but good on him for putting in the effort.

Drogba is scoring more because he has another forward up there and isn't taking on two of the defenders, simple really.

....and what a strike partner! Can't go wrong with that.

I do see a change in attitude from him though. Admittedly I've only seen 1.5 matches.

I've always defended him and rated him highly.

He does a job that others seem to neglect or refuse to see.

In the right system, that big post player who knocks down and distibutes balls is essential. Now that he has a partner to play off of, he should really flourish.

How many Chelsea goals have come from the havoc he creates with his size and control at the edge of the box? I would guess a great number. There's no doubting his athleticism and talent.

Ballack's red card was an incorrect decesion in my opinion. Sure, it looks bad in slow-motion, but there's absolutely no intent there whatsoever. Even in slow-mo, he's not even looking at his leg. He was just late on the scene.

That Nice Guy
no idea if it's a red card, similar to Rooney's in the World Cup, in my opinion.

I honestly dont know, we'd have to do a lie detector test on Ballack and see if he says it was deliberate...

Ballack was well red-carded imo.

Now, that goal for Drogba is easily one of the strikes of the season. Fits my top 3 this year.

Just found a nice arcticle on soccernet aBOUT ASH DAMN CAPS LOCK, anyways, about Ashely Cole and how he'll fit in Chelsea, etc.

Well, Chelsea have just been shown tapping up on BBC, tapping up youngsters, three points should be docked. They offered £150,000 over 3 years to a player who was at middlesborough, and Middlesborough weren't aware of this.

Bobby

The Legend
He's right, allegedly.

And this may not be the last of it, allegedly. Could be sensationalism in the media. A huge problem plauging our society which you can read into more in "Culture Warrior".
