And you'd have Moutinho and Hulk instead of Hazard and Oscar. I don't know which is better, but they're quite different.

Maybe AVB could have not sucked.

And this has to do with them winning the CL too, and AVB might have screwed that up.

Yeah I am pretty pleased with the way this has all gone.... I think last season was important as a transitional season from old to new and to have done all of this last summer would have been too much too soon I think, plus it is good that Mata has had a season to integrate before all these other new boys arrive, and also if all this talent had come in last summer we might have lost Sturridge and also Ramires might not have developed quite so magnificently.......

I think you should have some legitimate concerns about Di Matteo (parking the bus with cadillac players isn't tremendously difficult for a manager), but winning the CL earns someone a chance. And he's making good signings, or at least seemingly.

He's only got a two year contract, frankly I think he should only have got one year. He deserved a chance, but only a short one! Anyway, Abramovich obviously doesnt like him so he will waste no time in firing him as soon as someone better appears on the horizon.....

Btw if we hadnt appointed Di Matteo already I would be well up for giving Laurent Blanc a shot.

I have the feeling those are all AVB signings...
I dont know.... I never once heard us linked with Oscar whilst AVB was here, and I think Abramovich took the Hazard chase personally in his desire to get one over on United and City..... yeah they are AVB style players but surely were AVB still here our prime targets would have been Hulk and Moutinho......

They are Emenalo signings. I think RDM could do a good job, I doubt we'll see the same tactical emphasisvthis season.

Di Matteo was very smart last season giving the team leadership to the old guard and join together for the CL glory, now lets see if he is also able to build a domineering team.

Oh and tits.
I am not sure about this but as far as I can remember Di Matteo got sacked by WBA coz they thought he wasn't very pragmatic and trying to play attractive football.

Did you see Brazil yesterday? Oscar played like Fàbregas, good behind the ball helping CBs building the attacks and in 3/4 of field, different role than he had at Inter. He started and finish the plays. Very exiting player.

Yeah a friend of mine who was in Venezuela last summer just told me he saw Oscar (and Moura) live a couple of times as the Brazil U19s were doing a tour there and said even then he looked very special. Hats off to you Abramovich, you showed balls and may just be rewarded with something remarkable.

I think this may be true, he got them promoted in his first season and the result which got him sacked was a defeat to Man City so he hardly bombed, but I think they thought "flowing" football was a sure fire way for newly promoted clubs to get relegated....... Swansea have since proven that theory wrong.

Your comment makes no sense then.

errr being relegated and being in a relegation fight is pretty different. Wigan being in a relegation fight is expected but expecting them to get relegated because they try to play good football doesn't make much sense.

You expect them to be in the relegation fight but think it doesn't make sense to think they'll be relegated?

-Wigan= sh*t club

-Sh*t club= struggle

-Martinez= attractive football

-Wigan+Martinez= struggling sh*t club playing attractive football

-They think struggling sh*t club playing attractive football= relegation

-Relegation doesn't happen however they struggle as Wigan= sh*t club...sh*t club= struggle

-They= clueless

Also

-Birmingham City+Mcleish= sh*t club playing pragmatic football= relegation

-BUT Birmingham+Mcleish= Carling Cup

-Current CC holders= Liverpool+King Kenny= sh*t club+sacked senile manager

-And CC= sh*t trophy says, Arsene

-Arsene knows

- Once again, They=clueless
