Execellent result against QPR!

I was thinking with which formation will Chelsea play against Bayern Munich?

With four key players out of the squad for that game. I was thinking in something like this:

-----------Cech----------------
Essien------Luiz-----Cahill------Cole------
-----Lampard-----Mikel-----Malouda--------
-----------------Mata--------------
-------Drogba---------Kalou

I will put Essien as a right back, because i don't see Ferreira or Bosingwa at top level for that game. And we know Essien has done good as a right back in the past.
I have put Drogba and Kalou as forwards, but im sure it will be only Drogba. But if that's the case, then which midfielder to put on the pitch instead of Kalou?

With key players out, is a hard selection.
Suggest your formation guys.

What?

Bosingwa - Cahill - Luiz - Cole
Lampard - Mikel
Kalou - Mata - Sturridge
Drogba/Torres

Possibly Essien if he plays well in the next few games, but I don't see much chance of anything different.

It was encouraging to see Torres taking up good positions to score yesterday, his movement has been lacking this season, but he could've scored 6 had Ramires, Malouda and Ferreira given him the ball.

A bit too early to talk about the Champs league final seeing that we've got Liverpool in the FA Cup final before that. :D

Hopefully Cahill will be fit before then. Luiz is almost there though, we can't keep on playing Boss in center back, especially against Newcastle.

Good thing we've got Bane coming back from suspension.

Nah, we gotta play Bosingwa at right back, at least he will be fully fit and playing in the right position. He has been better in recent matches, anyway. Wouldnt start Malouda either. Would rather not start Kalou if we can help it. I agree with Mandieta6's team except maybe Essien rather than Kalou. Also, Drogba should start unless Torres is absolutely amazing in the next few games.

It's pretty close to Stamford Bridge, it's one of only 2 places the CPO will approve of, and it will allow for a bigger stadium, which I think we need. Makes sense.

Yeah they reckon they could get 60k+ seats in there.

I absolutely love Battersea Power Station, I pass right by it on the train every time I go into London from where my mum lives. I would be immensely proud if Chelsea were playing there, but deeply ashamed if we ruin it, so unless the plans are excellent I'd rather we left it alone!

Anyway, wishing my luck and my love to the boys to bring that trophy home today!

Cech
Bosingwa - Ivanovic - Terry - Cole
Mikel - Lampard
Ramires - Mata - Kalou
Drogba

I think we can do this, so come on!

1-0 at halftime, Ramires on the counter from a Mata ball, owning Jose Enrique and scoring with a Reina deflection.

Overall, it's looking good. Liverpool have rarely looked dangerous, Suarez has barely appeared and Gerrard is forced back to help in build-up, so I assume they'll make a half-time change and bring on an attacker and move Gerrard back permanently. In defense we're looking very solid, and I'm surprised Pool haven't had the wingers switch flanks, since Bellamy looks like he could put Bosingwa under a lot more pressure than Downing has managed. Bosingwa has been very good in defense today. Ramires has owned Enrique in attack and defense and overall, it's unspectacular, but good. Mata doing well, making himself available and leading the attack.

Let's keep it up.

We dominated up until then Liverpool goal, off a shambolic mistake from Bosingwa, and from then we were awful, barely hanging on, and the confidence Carroll got made him impossible to play. We held on, got the win, great stuff, now let's beat them at Anfield, we can do it.

Ball didn't go all the way over the line.

Cracking save by Cech. The guy really is making the difference for you guys, if he's shuffled out the door in the summer like it's being rumoured, it'd be a shame but then again, Chelsea don't always make the best decisions!

Congrats on today, you turned up for 60 minutes while we turned up for 30, you deserved it.

Yeah stoopid Carroll. If he hadn't celebrated, I think he could reach the ball on the rebound. He wasn't far from the ball.

Cheers mate. I thought Liverpool didn't press high enough, if Maxi and Carroll started definitely you guys would've had more of an attacking threat.

I thought our players were running low on adrenaline and fatigue was kicking in when Carroll scored. Thankfully Cech saved us. The momentum Liverpool had, if it gone to extra time, they would be the favourites.

Sterling performance. Credit to Liverpool for showing resilience. Once again, if I was a Liverpool fan I would be FURIOUS with Kenny for not starting Carroll right when he seems to have hit some form. Also, you really ****ed up letting us get that first goal.

Great performance from us though. Mata right back to top form, incredible goal from Drogba once again. That's the less important cup won, now let's take the big one!

Jesus christ, Terry is getting owned today, can't believe how poor he's been today. Liverpool are doing a good job of exposing his faults, and we're 1-0 down. Guess we'll have to win the CL then. Great.
