While I'm disappointed that we have to go through all this crap again, I'm not too sad to see the back of AVB.
He seems like a nice chap and has good ideas but game after game of watching Chelsea this season, its evident that he's tactically weak, his man management skills are poor(his handling of Alex and Anelka could've been much much better) and he seems to play certain players even if they perform **** week in week out (Torres, Meireles, Bosingwa, Malouda, and sometimes Sturridge).
If there were any signs of improvement from our performance over the past 3 months I'd like to see where.
Because I thought most of the good results we had, we didn't really put in a convincing performance. Early in the season, I thought we still looked good in attack, but very vulnerable in defence. Since December, we've improved in defence but managed to become clueless in attack and there hasn't been any indication that we could put teams to bed.
There was no longer the feeling that "we're going to win this one" before the game. Even during the worse times under any manager(I'm counting pre-Abramovich as well), we still managed to put in a decent performance in a midst of a bad run of results. But the performances under AVB since December have not only been consistently poor and awful but we've only got 3 wins in 12 games.
I could see that several players lost faith in him(not singling out Lamps who is our top scorer this season), but he should've dealt with it at the start of the season and brought more players that could benefit this so-called project he kept talking about after every single post-match interview.
