What you need is Sapunaru, he was like the secret ingredient in André Villas-Boas success at Porto. He played a vital part in the win against Benfica yesterday.

This summer will probably determine where you're heading in the next few years. If you do well this period will be seen as a blip. If you don't you'll just fade like Liverpool. Same situation at Arsenal as well, really. Interesting times in the Premiership...

AVB gone then....

I'm actually a bit sad about that.

But if Mourinho comes back....... I wont mind.

Well with so many excellent teams and the particular emergence of Spurs and MCity it's almost as if the 4 CL places aren't enough for the EPL.

Haha can't believe AVB got axed. I was right when I said that he's a bit overrated and could be a flop at Chelsea.

I've decided to just start finding this season funny...

I'm in stitches now.

Looks like Fili is going to be seeing him around some more parties soon.

Pffffft, maybe if a single team got to the quarter finals you could say that. There's parity because the top of the league is weak.

Dont think hes a bit overrated. he wanted to implement his ideals on Chelsea but theres just too much ego in there, with the plus that AVB is just 34 and some players were "against" his orders since the beginning (Alex and Anelka).
Hes one of my favourite managers, even when he was training Porto. Im happy that he left Chelsea but kind of sad cause his impact was negative.

And i cant find normal when players call Mourinho and start crying cause of AVB. Thats just unnatural for me.

I wonder who will want to become Chelsea's next manager now. There's a 100% chance of getting sacked in 1 year or less. Chelsea should have kept Ancellotti (sp?).

Ugh. Well, I'm gonna try and be positive and hope for Mou this summer and that Di Matteo can somehow save this season, but I'm onot sure about either being very realistic. Please not Rafa, though.

You should hire Shifty Petrescu, he won the 2nd division in Russia in his first year in charge of FC Kuban and in the 2nd season he finished 6th in the first division. He did have a lot of financial support but that would be relative to the Chelsea situation.

What Horatiu said ! I would love to see him take over. It's his biggest dream. He even named his girl Chelsea. And I think he would do a great job too.

The problem is not who Roman picks as manager.
I mean, we have had incredible managers in the past, but Abramovich seems like he has no patience. Is like: If the manager does not win champions league in the first season, then he's out.

I think the next thing to do is to get a great manager, but also to be more calm, to learn to wait a little. To give the manager two seasons, even more in order to see results.

We know that patience has worked out in other teams who learned to wait, and who knows that success is a long term process.

Who else thinks the same way here?

Didn't he win the Romanian league with Unirea Urziceni too? That's got to be a pretty big accomplishment.
