I don't get why Chelsea invested so much in him when they clearly lack qualities in other departments. With Drogba at the prime of his game, Chelsea didn't really need a second striker. Isn't Anelka not good enough as backup?

He is another Ibra type.....needs a team to be built around him not the other way around.Thats why he is a misfit in the Spain team. Anyways why don't Chelsea buy a natural playmaker ever??? two box to box midfielders along with a holding one but no natural talent to find killer pass or excellent movement and skill to find space. ok thats fine but u need creative players also on the wings who have pace and dribbling skills in abundance.
Imagine how many players can be bought to feel gaps or young talents with 50m pounds.

Lampard shoots too much. If the accuracy was up to the mark it would have been fine but he shoots too much and most of the time he doesn't really make much of an impact during big matches although the technique and intelligence in reading of the game he has. I really admire him as a player but he is going backwards and has become too predictable. All u have to do is allow him the necessary space just outside the penalty box and block of other passing options in the final third and he will shoot with a lot of venom but no accuracy most of the time. He really needs to adapt his game at times.

So this is what we traded Mourinho and our golden years for? A pitiful pathetic team that I wouldn't even spit on, what a shame.. This is what you get when you have a madman as a president of the club. He started watching football in 2004 and all of the sudden he thinks he has what it takes to handle a club better than experienced coaches. This is coming from a long time fan. Chelsea really do need to step their game up.
