Oh and tits.
Yep true but Lampard needs to adapt his game too! He plays hopeless passes without any reason and is always rushing it a bit too much. One special quality I love about him is his reading of the game when he is more calm and collective. To be honest its his habit and instinct to try an go forward but he has become more predictable. Now we can see the importance of Ballack while he was there. But Lamps could do with a deeper role in midfield due to his reading. One thing you miss from Ballack is the long passes and his intelligence while playing deeper. Lampard could do that very well. You miss the drive of Essien badly. He lost it due to injuries and age. U need someone on the driver seat really. If not for **** sake buy a no10 player. It would be perfect for Torres if you play a 4-2-3-1. The main thing is Torres needs a team built around him thats it.

First of all, paragraphs.

Second, Lampard does not play hopeless passes without any reason. Don't know where you get that. I don't know if you're even watching him properly or at all.
But the reason why he is rushing is because opposing players are closing him down much quicker.

This is because they know he is our sole creativity source and if you allow him time and space he is able to pick a pass or rifle the ball into the net. He got 27 goals and 17 assists from midfield last season in 53 appearances.

This season, people seem to forget that he's been dogged by injuries, but he's still been banging in important goals whenever he's played for us.

It's not just the matter of hitting long passes while playing deep, it's about keeping it simple in midfield, knowing which option to take at the given moment. Our midfield just looks lost most of time, Essien in particular sadly. He used to be such a monster in moving the ball forward but injuries have probably taken its toll on him.
Right now we're just too slow in building up attack from defense, which allows opposition teams to recuperate and defend in numbers. Again, I repeat.

United are a perfect example when it comes to defense to attack transition. We used to have that ability as well(particularly highlighted in the 04-07, when we had Duff/Cole/Robben on the wings) but sadly we've been terribly lacking in recent seasons. We got away with it last season, as we had plenty of depth in Deco/Ballack and Cole(who was still alright at the time) but not this season.

Okay maybe I'm wrong about the Lampard thing. Yes the rest exactly what I wanted to say but couldn't put it together the way you did. My major weakness.......... :-(

Try reading your own posts and you will find how ******* annoying it is to read. I never read a single word from your posts (including this one). Use commas, full stops, paragraphs then people will take your posts more seriously.

I personally think your problem is on the wingers. I said that so many times. You use strikers as wingers (except Malouda). They are obviously not gonna play as good as natural wingers.

If you have natural wingers, there will be more balance in midfield and central midfielders won't have to drift wide to compensate.

You've got some quality players in central midfield. I don't think your midfield needs changes.

We had natural wingers or potentials in that position, Stoch being one I can remember, but we let him get away. I felt that we did try to keep Robben, but you know what happens when Real come sniffing about. :)

We're being linked to Alexis Sanchez from Udinese, he dees look like a decent out and out winger. Zhirkov can also be considered a winger but hasn't been used effectively this season.

I thought he did great as a full-back and at Left Midfield last season. A bit puzzled why he's so subdued this year.

I guess it all depends on who we decide to keep and let go this summer. That will definitely determine our shape for next season. If Drogba does leave(which I hope doesn't happen personally), we'll definitely have to change our style of play and we will need to build the team around Torres.

Oh and tits.
Sanchez would be a huge buy. The kid is special. I watch Serie A matches involving Napoli and Udinese mostly. They are the most entertaining of them all. This boy is a genius.

Well, the season is over. Hopefully these two games can give a chance for the lads to express themselves in a footballing sense. Hopefully Bertrand and McEachran get some game time against Newcastle or Everton.

I've been reading a few quotes coming from Carlo, and he's not sure about if he'll be here next season it seems. I really hope he stays. He's earn every right to after what he did last season.

Fair play to Utd. They deserved the title more than we do this season. The table never lies. They had the better squad, they got the results and their players performed when it mattered most.

All to play for come next season. United of course, Liverpool improving, City most definitely will be a major threat, Spurs and Arse will be somewhere in the mix I reckon. :p
We've also got QPR back in the Premiership, nice to see more derby games in West London.

So, we finish the season on a low, sack our manager (admittedly it's been a bad season by our standards, but I'm still disappointed with the board), and there's a lot of speculation that our best player is going to leave, with his 50m pound substitute still not gelled in. We also lost our assistant manager this season, so hurray for continuity.

Crap, crap, crap. I assume we'll see lot of spending now. Why we didn't just progressively spend the money on bargains such as Silva, Ozil, Vaart etc, I don't know.

Hiddink is the only manager I would consider to be a step-up right now. I'm really too sick of Chelsea right now to discuss good transfer options. Right now I'm just begging that we don't see Rafa at the Bridge.

Drogba to Galatasaray? What nonsense! Whose the advisor of Roman on footballing matters? Why doesn't he take over as the manager? Very poor decision really. Such a great coach leaving the EPL. What a gentleman he is? good luck to him.

Help?

It was because you were overspending and overpaying in wages to compete with United, plus the financial crisis where Roman lost like half his assets forced him to try and make the club self-sustainable. Clearly that failed and now Roman is scrambling to figure out how to keep competing with United while fighting off the on-rushing train of City.
