Decent result against a spirited Stoke City.
I was initially worried throughout the match, their tactics are so similar to Bolton's and their forwards(especially Sidibe) were a real handful for our defenders.
Up against the so-called "in yer face" football, I thought we did quite well, passed the ball quickly around them, created a good number of chances(and half-chances) and we were calm throughout the 90 minutes.
Our full-backs have been a revelation for us this season, especially Bosingwa(hope he gets the goal to his name, the lad deserves it).
Hopefully the 2nd goal gives Nic more confidence since he seems like a very sensitive character(judging from his expression mostly :P).
3 points in the bag, we're now top. One of our main rivals lost, it couldn't have been a better day.

You summed up the Stoke game well enough Zakov. Not much else to add really.
Stoke were as resiliant as were expected though. This a team made up of seasoned and experienced ex-Premiership players, and they were up for it. I thought it was a good game, but a little dissapointed with the amount of sloopy passing from us during the first half.
Scolari said that the players will get extra training this week to improve that aspect, because as the game got slower our boy's concentration seemed to be lacking. A better team could have punished us a few times today, as Stoke fed well off our mistakes.
A couple of sitters missed again was dissapointing. Anelka needs to get his act together very quickly if he wants to keep his place, because Scolari now keeps Sinclair on the bench and I think pretty soon if Anelka does not improve, Sinclair will get his chance.
So, good win. 3 more points, and with Hull beating Arsenal
we go top of the league. A very nice weekend from a Chelsea point of view.

I have to say, his(VantheWankII) behaviour is an embarassment to my 9 year old nephew. He's like one of those u come across in a mental hospital, heck even they're more well behaved than this poor ol' sod.
Back on topic, the draw was a decent result for us since we weren't really playing well that night.
I always had a feeling the knee problem would be back to haunt Drogba, unfortunately it did. Now the striker we're left with is just Anelka, and the untested Franco Di Santo. Alex and JT also finished the match with pain in Cluj as well.
Its turning into a rough time for our players, thats for sure.

@ VanTheManII - There are titles that users have depending on the number of posts they have - your number of posts make you a 'boot cleaner', Tiago's makes him a 'Team Captain', Zakov's make him a part of the 'Senior Team' and Pede's 11,000 + posts makes him a 'Legend' (plus he's a really nice dude). There is no conspiracy.

As for the game against Cluj, I wasn't surprised by their tactics but these kind of teams have to do what they can I suppose. They parked the bus, then counter attacked when we lost the ball. Then when their attack came to nothing and they lost the ball, they committed a foul against the Chelsea player with the ball, which gave them all plenty of time to get back and re-park the bus. The ref was crap, and he fell for it every single time.
Give their coach credit though because although their game plan was ugly, it worked a treat for them, and to tell the truth although it was frustrating to watch, it was also quite fascinating too. Cluj although they were pretty cynical in their approach, did work exceedingly hard throughout the entire game.
It was wrong to play Drog before he was fully fit. That was a mistake, but when all we have up front is Anelka, I can understand Scolari's desperation to play Drog. He will be out for a month. It's bad but it could have been worse.
As for the CL standings, four points from 2 games is good enough for this group stage. We will qualify and that's all that matters.
