Haha, yeah, very true. There's no denying that at all!

Last comment from me regarding this...I'm not saying the resuegence means nothing....over hist first 2 years, I wouldn't have been concerned about it, and just been happy with what we got, and he got us a LOT, because, like you correctly pointed out, prior to him, we were going nowhere....fast. Last season though, the squad was strengthened....and this season it has gotten stronger still, so personally I just think he shouldn't be having to scratch and claw(we barey scraped through an EASY group this year) nearly as much as he did those first 2 years, when he had almost the same group of players to work with.

Nice to see a Liverpool fan admitting that 05 phantom goal.....but don't worry, karma works both ways!!

Yep. Two years later Liverpool raped Milan but still lost 2-1, for instance.

What contrasting semi finals we have - man utd vs barca (football the right way) and chelsea vs pool (long ball hoof and hope merchants).

I suspect most will be washing their hair when pool and chelski showcase their skills.

Vedran are you a Barca fan or an antimadridista? Barca fans I respect, antimadridistas are silly....I hope you are not the later....

a normal barça fan is antimadridista too, like madridista is anticulé so dont be silly and acept it.

According to who? LOL

Anyway I'm actually with Paul here being as Barcelona (who are the last Spanish representative...no matter which way anyone looks at it) have very very little change of winning this I hope Chelsea than can do it...matter of a fact anyone is good enough apart from Liverpool who only give a **** about the CL and think their all great and mighty because of that.

maybe because both are american boys who in his infance see real madrid in tv and say oh i like this team. Its normal if calderon say this because is the president of a big institution and have to show "talante". but the rivality of barça and madrid its the most nice think ever without it the liga dont have reason

no actually that's not my background at all, I have ties to the rivalry in Spain, but I still think is silly to hate Barca just because, I dont like Barca because they are our direct rival, but I could care less what you guys do or dont do, I care about Real Madrid and that's it...Do I enjoy to see you guys lose? yes, on occassion, but mostly only when it affects us one way or the other, otherwise I could care less

man I'm just sorry you guys couldn't see Porto in its full throttle this season...we were eliminated by Schalke in one of the most unfair games I remember watching, and I really think that Porto could measure up with anyone of the final 4...probably just not with United...for instance (and seeing as Schalke got drawn with Barcelona), I can confidently say that Porto would have given Barcelona a run for their money (Y)

oh well, a shame really..

Filipower, you guys still got Quaresma right?
He is a magician , do you have any opinion if he might be leaving you guys at the end of the season or no?

In all honesty? I hope so. Truth is, you only see the Quaresma of the magical-youtube-trivela moments... we have to put up with the guy every week, missing passes, shots and tricks just because he thinks he can nutmeg his opponent. Plus, he doesn't defend to save his life. So yeah, he is a good player, when he is at his best he's probably very good, but I prefer a player who is good every week than one who is very good once a month.

Now to really answer your question, he's release clause is set at €40 million, and I don't think he is being sold if anyone doesn't come up with that offer, which, imo, would be the most overrated offer in history, he's not even worth half that much. But hey, please anyone, do make an offer and take him (Y)

2008 Champions League Final Matchball:

I like the detailing (Y) ... no idea what it will look like from far, and in play ...

I've got a replica of 2006 Paris final matchball (for obvious reasons) ... (very) hopefully I'll be getting a replica of this one too, come the end of May ...

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's gonna look white.

Steven Gerrard is a doubt for Liverpool's must-win (by atleast 2 goals without conceding) semi-final against Chelsea. He has suffered a neck injury. Javier Mascherano and Sami Hyypia have also picked up injuries...Hyypia will require more time to recover, although both are expected to play (through the pain).

Prediction(First Leg):
Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

You have to be THE most pessimistic fan I've ever come across.

Help?

Its true, Liverpool have been doing quite well since the hiding they got from Manchester United. While Chelsea actually struggled in their past couple of matches, although Lampard and Drogba haven't featured in some of them.

I'm gonna go even further and predict Chelsea to win five-nil in the first match. Jesus Christ, you and your pessimism make for a very irritating combo.
