congratulations to porto, but is always sad when a team that plays such an anti-football style of play wins anything.

I think that Hugo was the best player for Monaco.

He was always trying to get something going, and he usually did. :)

As many have said... It was a bad day for football.

Much more boring than last year's match.

The second half was better. Monaco coked and played bad as Porto's defense proved too good.

Congratulations FC Porto, time to look for a new manager :p

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS!!! :rockman: :clapwap: :bouncy:

It was a difficult game for us but i think Porto(even not playing his best football) proved to be the best team and we fully deserved the victory(maybe the 3-0 is too much for Monaco but who cares... :p ). Also a word about Mourinho, it's a shame to see him leaving but since he wants to go to another club i think he should leave, now it's time to look for a new coach(hope a good one).

Consider Man Utd didn't do squat in 99's final... Bayern dominated the match completely and Man Utd scores 2 goals the way they did. It's funny how no one complained back then.

Dado Prso cost Monaco the game. Well, more like losing Guily and having to "gain" Prso. Prso was horrendous and played the worst game of anyone I've ever seen in such an important game. Guily goes off, Prso goes in, meaning my boy Rothen is forced to play further back than he is used to, and that's why Monaco lost. Plus Morientes didn't get involved nearly enough and the Porto defense was superb. The defenders didn't individually stand out, but those guys won EVERY header that came their way and snuffed out every attack fairly early on. Those center backs were phenomenal.

Dado Prso had nothing to do with the loss. Dont try to use him as a scapegoat, everyone at Monaco played terrible football, including your boy Rothen. Moro was a joke yesterday as well.

It all went downhill for Monaco when Deschamps took off Cisse to put Nonda, leaving the defense without protection. Then Porto hit Monaco on the counter twice and it was 3-0. Evra was mediocre, Rothen as bad too, i mean, all the key players did very bad. Porto played a not so attractive football, but an intelligent kind of football, and just won the game due to their good finishing.

The only thing 2 things I saw him do all match was the kick to Baia when he tried to shoot the ball, and the time that he made it seem like he was on a long run just because there was no player around to stop him. :crazyboy: No Monaco player played well yesterday, Roma and Rothen were absolute crap. Prso wasn't too good, but definitely wasn't the worst IMO. What killed Monaco was that Morientes was usually offside and after a while the linesman didn't really care if he was onside or not.

My MoM goes to Paulo Ferreira, set up the first goal for Carlos Alberto, and also had a deadly cross-in before that, and was rock-solid stopping everybody on the right, and that's why Monaco kept going towards Nuno Valente on the left flank.
