Lol just realised this was the day we achieved Mission Impossible in Istanbul , only to decline year after year from then . :D
And that Cesc lineup is the right way to go imo , Valencia definitely comes ahead for me to Nani . However I would have Scholesy in place of Fletcher .

They are like two different countries, so actual Spain would rather see Barcelona lose than win.

False, and don't let Arnau's underdog victimism fool you, the neutral Spanish fan wants Barcelona to win, just like they did in 2009, 2006 and whenever Barcelona play against anyone that isn't Spanish. Actually, I'd say most neutral Spanish fans supported Barcelona against Madrid, too.

The whole Catalunya is a seperate country sentiment is nearly entirely Catalan. The rest of Spain, assuming they haven't been exposed to some Pau or Enric that's made his way out of Girona and brainwashed them, see Catalunya as a part of Spain, regardless of their desire to be seen differently.

Spanish medias are all from Madrid and it's safe to say they want Manchester to win. Marca, AS, La Sexta, Cuatro, A3, Telecirco, SER, COPE, etc...

United will go with same line-up as in Chelsea and Schalke games.

Valencia - Carrick - Giggs - Park
Rooney - Hernandez

Maybe O'Shea will play instead of Fabio/Rafael maybe not, but from the attacking standpoint I think only Park or Nani on the left can be disputed.

Spanish MEDIA. Not Spain.

Thats exactly what we were talking about, Mandieta6... at least me. I agree i maybe exaggerate trying to make it look like the whole country it's against the Catalans but its the truth, they (journalist) are men of double standards when it comes about Barça or Spanish NT.

Many people say that United should score first if they want to win the game. I think it's very hard to come from behind and defeat Barca before penalties. I hope Fergie selects better tactics this time, but I predict much closer match this time not total domination.

United shouldn't play Barca game. I mean fast pace and passing in the middle. I think full backs and wings can play essential role in that match. Barca always move forward and attacks, I hope Nani, Valencia and Chicharito speed come to our help. Real made some chances during second league match and they were all base on counter attacks and crosses.

How do you think United should play to win the match? We all know it about Barca.

Btw, few predicted the result. I predict 2-1 for United.

Don't think we will play with only Rooney up front. Don't think Fabio will play too. Probably O'Shea. Less attack minded but taller and more solid. More suited to play against a team like Barca.

Everyone made fun of me for drafting O'Shea and Park in that draft last summer. Say what you want, but those are the kinds of players that win games like this. Park sending Nani to the bench should bewilder the casual fan.

Surprised Chicarito won't start though, I'd play him over Giggs and drop Rooney into the attacking midfield.

I'm pretty sure he will start. United has been playing with him and Rooney even against big teams. It might look like 4-4-2 but its more like a flexible team that changes from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 to 4-3-3 with Rooney playing more like a Sneijder role.

Well yeah, I guess Cesc is probably just wrong.

I'd be very surprised if Ferguson plays Fletcher (who got like 1.5 games under his belt in the last half a year) over on-form Hernandez in a tactic that picked apart Chelsea and Shalke quite easily.

I've been surprised before though

United vs Barcelona

Manchester Utd are the only unbeaten side in the Champions League this season (nine wins, three draws).

Barcelona’s only defeat in the Champions League this season was in London, when they lost 2-1 at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium last February.

Barcelona are the best attacking side in this season’s competition with 27 goals while Manchester United possess the best defence with four goals conceded in 12 games.

Barcelona are the only side to have completed more than 90% of passes in the Champions League this season (90.9%), whilst Xavi and Sergio Busquets are the only players to have completed more than 1,000 passes (1,103 and 1,035 respectively).

If Alex Ferguson lifts the trophy at Wembley, he will join Bob Paisley as the most decorated manager in the history of the Champions League/European Cup with three wins.

Barcelona have not failed to score in their last 20 Champions League games. The last side to stop them from finding the net were Rubin Kazan in November 2009.

Barcelona were the last side to lift the Champions League trophy at Wembley when they won it in 1992 (1-0 v Sampdoria, after extra-time).

This is the seventh time Barcelona have reached the final of the Champions League/European Cup, including three in the last six editions. They have won it three times and finished runners-up three
times.

Alex Ferguson is the third manager to lead a team to four Champions League/European Cup finals (1999, 2008, 2009, 2011), after Miguel Muñoz and Marcello Lippi.

If Barcelona beat Manchester Utd at Wembley, Spain will overtake Italy in terms of most Champions League/European Cup trophies. At the moment, they are tied on 12 trophies each, with England a close third (11).

Lionel Messi is the top scorer this season in the Champions League with 11 goals. If he keeps hold of top spot, he would become the first player to win it outright in three consecutive seasons in the history of the European Cup. He is already Barcelona’s leading scorer in the history of the competition (36 goals).

Edwin Van der Sar will become the oldest player to win the Champions League/European Cup if Manchester Utd are victorious. The oldest player to feature in the final remains Juventus ‘keeper Dino Zoff: he was 41 years and 86 days old when he played Hamburg in the 1983 final (lost 0-1).

Surprisingly, Hernandez is our top scorer in the UCL this season (4). Carrick is out best passer and Giggs with most assists (4).

LOL at picking apart Schalke. You mean the 14th best team in the Bundesliga who would have been relegated without the best goalkeeper in Central Europe? Amazing stuff! The Bundesliga games surrounding those Man U games:

0-1 loss at home to Kaiserslautern
1-4 loss away to Bayern
1-3 loss at home to Mainz

You still get the point. Ferguson prepared for that game just like he would for any huge game this season and based on all the signs Hernandez is very much part of the main plan. Anyway, you be the judge:

"It's been an incredible season for the boy," the boss said. "Nobody at our club thought for a minute that he'd achieve what he's achieved in his first season.

"Hopefully he continues that way tomorrow night. He's got the temperament, he's got the speed, he's got the movement... he's got all the things necessary to be a good player tomorrow night."
