Hi guys, I jusy made the switch to cg18 and am trying to edit an existing squad file. I have used the squads converter to get the db but my tables end up all messed up with bogus entries. Also tried to use that squad online update in cg18 but doesnt let me import a squad file and just gives unhandled exception. Is there an easier way to edit the squad file or if I must delete bogus entries I would like to know whether bogus entries are just 0 entries at the end of a table or can they have different values like -1 and be scattered throughout the table, or repeated entries of the same thing? Because Im trying to clean the tables so I can use them but not 100% on what every single bogus entry could look like and in which tables I should mainly worry about. Cheers in advance lads

The easiest way by far is to start over: export the in-game db files with CGFE and then apply the same edits to those. No bogus 0 values to worry about then, plus it might even be quicker lol.

The problem is those values should have been removed, before you started editing. That said, you can identify the bogus 0 rows by sorting some column value that should be a minimum of 1, like agility or speed in the players table. Use the sort function, choose ascending order. The top rows will all be 0, and those are your bogus rows.

Not all tables will be that easy to sort/spot. But you don't need to transfer many tables to the new db files. If you only made player edits, then you only need to clean up and transfer the players and teamplayerlinks tables, plus editedplayernames table if you used that.

For example Arsenal opponent team changes from Spurs to a different team and formation name seems okay in Dynamic Assigner but in game it shows a different name. (eg. 4-4-2 in DA could show as 4-2-3-1 in game). Anybody know why it happens this way and how to fix it?

The DA is buggy, lots of error reports when editing the db tables, I've had my own. Modders like Nafer are saying not to use it period, and to use DBM/Excel to edit. That's my recommendation as well. The formations edits have been seriously bugged for years BTW, after EA introduced new formations tables in FIFA 14. I stopped using Creation Master for that back then.

Is there a way in CGFE to modify the World Cup DLC starting lineups? I don't want to do anything more than that. The same way you can in Dynamic Assigner with the regular db of teams but with the DLC country squads instead.

You can only edit WC squads by editing the DB.

Okay. I said "I'm pretty sure" because I don't create teams or switch teams around. I would have thought the leagues table at least had to be edited.

He would have to edit the leagueteamlinks table in the database if he wanted to start a career with teams from another league in a certain league.
Promotion and relegation must be done in the compdata.

Yes, to edit promotion/relegation you must edit the 'settings.txt' within the comp data.

Second, I am trying to add team specific ad boards but (for MLS) the ad boards are league specific. How do I change to team specific and use the ad boards that I import for each team?

You don't. IF THE FILE DOESN'T EXIST THEN IT CANNOT BE CREATED.

I edited the Wolverhampton Wanderers kits and created a mod for it, but in game the kit is all black and also corrupts the squads save data.
Then I try to load the mod again into the CG editor and the 3 out of 4 kits I edited crash the editor.
Can someone help?

I used this method, but when I export the textures to edit they're black.

Please,I need help.
I have patch with "big patch 5" install with frosty manager.
I follow next step : "please select fifa game",is ok,i will selected in game folder,next step"Please Select you mod" here i selected "import patch", select,but here i don't know where is file " cgp files(*.cgp)... I will search but dosne't exist.Please help :D.
I will try this step and selected don't any mod,but i will any change, this change dosen't run in game because i have this mod, big patch 5 and i don't want give up this patch :D.
