VALENCIA striker John Carew has not ruled out a move to Rangers, despite his agent rubbishing reports linking the player with a move to Scotland.
Valencia are looking to offload their star striker for economic reasons but will have to move quickly, as the transfer window closes at the end of August.
The 23-year-old had also been linked with a move to Sporting Lisbon but the player himself denied that he would be moving to Portugal.
Reports that the Norwegian international was set to make a switch to Rangers were blasted by agent Per A Flod but Carew appears to be keeping his options open.
He told VG: "I don't know (about Rangers). It will depend on several things. Something might happen in the next few days but I'll take it as it comes.
"I will not say too much about this. Something must have happened as the club have got many problems. I don't think the club intend to play the full season with one striker.
"We'll just have to wait and see. Something will happen, so it will be smart to stay around."
Gers boss Alex McLeish has admitted that he is interested in a quick move now that they have qualified for The Champions League.
