Thanks for the info on those players. That has helped alot. No one has offered to test AFC Wimbledon yet. If you post/PM me your email I will send it. I just need to know that my program generates teams/players in an acceptable way. I do not want to generate the entire north and south divisions for someone to complain that, for example, all players are rated too highly, and then have to start again to fix the problem.

Scouser, got it and enjoying! Exeter 1 - 2 Wimbledon...

I'm glad you like it! Is everything ok with it or are there any improvements you would suggest?

I am still updating the Conference National rosters. 12 teams are fully updated so far (correct starting 11 based on Saturday's games), 10 partially updated and 2 teams need adding. Most teams need quite a few new players to be created so it is taking longer than I thought.

Excellent work, scouser! I can't believe all those players were randomly generated by YOUR program and not created by EA SPORTS. The team looks great. Different boots, long/ short sleeves, different hairstyles, different players' bios: age, preferred foot, etc. Amazing.

This guy looks like James "Sawyer", Lost TV Series.

Excellent kit by hon3ydrip70, probably his best one.

Shall we have mini faces?

You thought the players were rated too highly. Let's have a look.
Exeter City F.C., last year's second-best team in the BSQ Premier, versus AFC Wimbledon, BSQ South.

Everything looks alright to me. Exeter City is a better team. Now let's see Wimledon's substitutes and reserves...

It looks like their best players are benchwarmers. Is it possible to correct it?

AFC Wimbledon vs Aldershot Town F.C., last year's BSQ winner.

I think Aldershot team chemistry (EA default) is slightly exaggerated. And what about Wimbledon? Was it deliberately lowered in order to make them mediocre?

My first victory (EXETER 1 - 2 WIMBLEDON) was the last one. I played four matches with them: one victory, one draw, two close defeats. All the rival teams were stronger (Coca Cola 2,1 and The Championship).
I also played a couple of matches against them: WIMBLEDON 1 - 5 MILLWALL , IPSWICH TOWN 7 - 0 WIMBLEDON.
Just like it should be,'cause Wimbledon is a modest BSQ South club, nothing more.
For those who think FIFA09 is too easy and boring: pick any team from BSQ North or South and try to win the FA Cup. It will be a challenge.

Good job, scouser! You have green light.

One more thing. Please, pay attention to this.
I created a tournament and decided to check MY SQUADS. This is what I found.

Hatton, Hussey, Judge & Co who had 22, 27 ovr points (see Exeter vs Wimbledon screenies) suddenly became much better players. I opened
PLAYER STATS menu - the same stuff. Just look at Hatton.

I decided to create new tournament with default EA SPORTS teams, picked Chester and opened PLAYER STATS. The same thing, though the difference wasn't too big, 1-5 points.
Can't explain this, but I'm almost sure it doesn't influence the gameplay.
When you start the game (PLAY --> SELECT SQUADS --> TEAM MANAGEMENT) you can see the same mediocre team: Hatton 22, Hussey 22 etc. and you play with them.

Tonie: Good find, will definitly help me alot!

scout: Thanks for your comments. I am glad you like my work.
-The problem with the substitutes and reserves being better than the starting 11 may take alot of work to fix. If you think this is a big deal then I could try.
-The very low team chemistry is a minor bug. I applied the same function which generates players attributes (a random value between 20 and 60). I think it is possible in real life for smaller teams to have good chemistry so I will change to allow for higher values (say between 20 and 90). Do you have a preference for a better range?
-I have no idea about the tournament squad bug. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
-Are minifaces easily generated with Creation Master?

I agree that it will be an interesting challenge to win the FA Cup with one of these teams. I think I have figured out the format we will have to use:
Since 64 teams are in the 4th qualifying round:
24 teams from conference national enter at this stage (as actual).
36 teams from north/south recieve byes from 2ndQR to 4thQR
8 teams from north/south recieve byes from 2ndQR to 3rdQR

If anyone else wants to test AFC Wimbledon PM me your email address and I will send.

No, you have more important things to do.

I have no idea. Could you explain how this works?

Team chemistry will now be in your prefared range.

In creation master you can make minifaces in the face tab for players. There is a camera icon which takes a screenshot of the 3d preview face and converts it into a miniface.

cmc211: To my understanding (I could be wrong) each miniface graphic is specific to the players appearance. EA only created minifaces for the appearance combinations of players they created in the game. Therefore for other combinations there would be no miniface as the graphic would not be needed. This would imply the players I made for AFC Wimbledon did not look identical to any of EA's created players in the game.

I could be wrong though, minifaces could be specific players.

I would suggest that for flags that one flag per team is made and used for each of the six flag graphics.
I decided to make an entire generic set. If you like it, I'll make a Welsh set for Wrexham and Newport.

And we already have AFC Wimledon flag set.

Those look very good scout! I think we should use them as the defaut set for teams that do not get a specific set made. Instead of a generic welsh set maybe you could make a specific set for both welsh teams (it would only be an extra 6 flags to make).

So far 22 out of 24 conference national teams now have rosters updated.
