Basically this says that Abromoovich, Chelseas's owner is getting ready to spill 70 million Euros for Porto's coach Jose Mourinho, Star player Deco, Defensive midfielder Costinha, Right Back Paulo Ferreira and allround midfielder Maniche.

If he ups the deal to 90 then we should accept!!

I only posted this because O jogo(the newspaper) is really reliable and whenever they say something, 90 % of the times it happens. This deal can be one of the biggest ever

Not the biggest deal of the century, but certainly interesting. I doubt it's going to happen though, because lots of teams are looking to pick up individual parts of that team. Bayern, for example, wants Deco. I doubt that they all want to go to one single team. Everyone is different, and from what I have heard, Deco would love to come to Munich.

i find this unlikely to happen aswell, but this newpaper is really reliable. Personally i wouldn't want this to happen cuz it would destroy our team

The team is already good as it is. I personally don't see the need for such major signings. I personally feel Ranieri is good enough as well. Roman just has too much money in his hands, he should try and do something else with some of it. Help feed the poor or something.

90 mill to let a coach and 2 players go?? If I was Porto's coach I would really have to take time out and think about that one since Mourinho means so much to the team and Deco is the star (a star atleast) Though with 90 mill you could find replacements but... things might not work as smoothly...

We need another midfielder to make it a bit stronger. However, we need a defender much more. If we get him, it won't hurt... UNLESS we just get him and no defender.

Roman may be rich but he will want better advice on his cash this summer. Being rich doesn't mean he wants to waste money.

Players like Cole, Geremi, Veron, Crepso, Mutu, Melchiot, Gronkjaer should all watch there back this summer. A few of them won't be at Chelsea by the start of the next EPL season.

Where were the "stars" when Chelsea needed them? The players responsibile for our rise this season were the ones already there. Carlo, Frank, Eidur, John. And some players bought, Bridge, Duff. While our most successfull forward played for another club. Mis use of the money indeed. Spend it wisely this summer if you come Jose.

Having said that I would love Deco at Chelsea but not Maniche. We already have a similar if not better player in Frank Lampard but people have told me Maniche is given all of Jose Mourinho's onfield orders and dominates games much like Lampard.

While I am very optimistic I am worried still.

He has been used incorrectly. Ranieri doesn't even seem to be sure with Parker. You can tell Roman didn't order the transfers, everyone expected someone big, not a player like Johnson or Bridge. A young star in the making. It was clearly evidient who spent the money and a certain someone isn't happy.

i think it's doubtful. Chelsea needs only Mourinho and maybe Deco. 90 million is too much for such players as Maniche, Costinha and Ferreira. Of course they are very good players but not stars.
