The name of Max is far too unknown. it´s really a shame that he made only 1 game for germany, although he was two times best scorer and also scored last years over 20 goals........

Yea Max was good, but never broke into the NT team probably because of his age. That's unfortunate though, because Jancker and Bierhoff were in the squad at that time.

and although it´s not true that he mainly scored against midtable clubs (i can remember at least 3 goals against dortmund, 3 against bremen and 2 against bayern) exactly this "experience and great positioning" would have been good for the Nt in games against island, latvia or the faroer
