Yes, he's 100% recovered as seen in the WC when he made some great saves against Portugal like in the old days.cdog said:Here's my question.........I've read that many expect Kahn to come back as starting keeper, is he 100 % recovered from his injury from last season (based on what I've heard on cable it was a serious thigh injury).
Due to Kahn's age he's a bit more injury prone so Rensing will surely get some playing time, he will probably start some Cup games as well. What about Rensing? Any possiblity on seeing him as starter and what do you think of his prospects? Many thanks ~!
Hmm Bayern play a league game just two days before the Gamper trophy but we should still play the best team in such a prestigious match.Tifon said:What do you guys expect from the game against barcelona in the "Gamper trophy"
I think neither barca or bayern will risk much, so they will play at slow peace and wont be a "ecxiting" match.
Bayern up their bid for van Nistelrooy
Bayern Munich believe they are close to signing Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy after submitting a new bid for the Dutchman.
Club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and general manager Uli Hoeness both believe they have made progress towards completing a deal.
The Bayern website reported on Sunday that a new bid had been lodged for Van Nistelrooy who fell out with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson towards the end of last season.
"He (Van Nistelrooy) wants to come to us," Hoeness told the website. "Now the ball's in Man U's court."
Rummenigge told the Bild am Sonntag newspaper: "He (van Nistelrooy) is one of the best strikers in Europe, he gets goals and he is a personality.
"It would be great if we could land a striker of his calibre."
Real Madrid also want to sign 30-year-old Van Nistelrooy but Rummenigge claimed the Bavarians would not be rushed into a move.
"We have time," he said. "The transfer window is open for five weeks. Van Nistelrooy has told us that he can play for Bayern.
"We have already talked about money. Manchester United must decide the rest and they won't give him away for nothing."
