Okay, I've calmed down a bit. We've officially hit rock bottom now, it can't get much worse than that. Every player received the worst possible individual rating, except Kahn. Obviously after one training session one can't expect too many things to immediately change. It's not like Hitzfeld could just change the starting eleven, no, there's the core of 14,15 players and no quality after that.
The squad is still good enough to finish at least 3rd in the Bundesliga. The main point Hitzfeld has to work on is the defense. The van Buyten-Lucio pairing obviously doesn't work. They don't trust each other, they don't even speak to each other during the games. Lucio at times was even farther forward than our strikers, wtf!!! We need a chief in the back four and that's gotta be van Buyten. Ismael would be the best solution to me but he won't return until early March so that leaves Demichelis as the only alternative. He's not really reliable but at least he's decent and doesn't run forward all the time.
The midfield, well, we need at least one more winger that's for sure. A flat midfield with van Bommel and Owen in the middle can work. That was the first game the two actually played together so give them some time. And who's saying that Owen is leaving? It's far from being sure and if it is so then for an insane amount of money in the region of 30-40 million. It's a win-win situation for us although I prefer to keep him otherwise the team would change too much next season.
Schlaudraff can dribble and has pace, he'll be an improvement over Brazzo and Karimi. If we get Schlaudraff, Altintop and Bastürk the bench will be decent again, the starters need some competition.
Makaay is aging but still gets the job done. He will stay for another year or two. Poldi is a talent, not more than that. He needs more playing time together with Makaay and Hitzfeld has already promised to dedicate a few special training sessions to the both of them next week when the others are away for International games.
Pizarro is done here, he's not getting a new contract as his demands were a joke. It seems he puts more focus on his hair than on the game.
Santa Cruz? He turns 26 this year yet he's still the same player he was when he came here 8 years ago. I'll miss his wife though.
Like I said a few times before, a tall striker who's good in the air would complement Makaay and Poldi the best (we need a target for Sagnol's 100 crosses from the middle of the pitch). Our management knows that.
Regardless how we finish this season we have already signed the second new player. It's not Bastürk, Altintop or someone like that but some higher calibre player.

Why was Brazzo subbed off? I'm not being biased just because I like him. He was one of the few players creating anything. Schweinsteiger didn't do ****... sub him off. Like the commentator said, he's been nothing since the World Cup.
It's no coincidence that both Magath and Hitzfeld subbed him off during halftime in the last matches. There are the "big 3" van Bommel, Owen and Schweini and then it's basically who sucks less between Brazzo, Demichelis and Ottl.
Brazzo creating anything? I didn't even notice him in the matches against Bochum and Dortmund, tonight he did a good job provoking that Nürnberg player but that's about it. He's done, Juve are ******* insane to give him a four year contract.
Schweini is and has always been inconsistent. Remember that last season he didn't get much playing time at all behind Ze Roberto, now the whole offense relies on him. I thought he didn't do too bad as a playmaker, his shots are always quite a nice weapon. He's untouchable and that's fine by me.
