I agree guys, I agree..........:nape:
Remember that we've lost last summer Jerry and Liza for end of career, and Ballack and Ze Roberto for free, now we've lost Sebastian Deisler for end career, so we can explain us something.
I was looking the really good match of Misimovic, remember that he has been an our gift for Bochum, like Trochowski for HSV, so stop crying cause we all are guilty in that (we I mean the management of FCB).......:nape: :nape: :nape:
p.s. Uli Höness said that we have been getting a superstar in the january transfer window, anybody is here and Deisler is retired......:boohoo:

I also read something like that. Holy sh*t! I mean magath is a great coach, we shouldnt be complaining about a new coach, teams like west ham should be, but i would love to see another style of play for bayern.

Hendrik where did you read this?

He hasn't been sacked.
It's safe to say that their aren't any new players coming in now. Just have to battle out the rest of the season I guess.

Heh. I hope the new manager drops Hargreaves and never play him so that he will be unhappy. Realistically, that won't be true. :(

Bayern Munich have sacked coach Felix Magath, according to German media reports.

The Bavarian giants slipped to fourth in the Bundesliga last night after a 0-0 draw at home to lowly VfL Bochum, just four days after a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, and German daily Bild reported on its website that Magath has been shown the door by club bosses.

Magath's predecessor, Ottmar Hitzfeld, is favourite to take the reins at the Allianz Arena until the end of the season.

Magath led Bayern to successive league and cup doubles in the past two seasons after moving from Stuttgart, though they currently trail 6 points behind leaders Werder Bremen and Schalke, who both have a game in hand.

Hitzfeld back in charge

Bayern part company with Felix Magath

31.01.2007

Felix Magath has been relieved of his position as Bayern head coach, the Munich club announced on Wednesday. Magath, whose contract in Munich runs until 30 June 2008, was sent on indefinite leave following a goalless draw at home to VfL Bochum the previous evening. Ottmar Hitzfeld, a familiar face at the club after a spell as head coach from 1998 until 2004, has agreed a contract returning him to the Bayern helm until the end of the 2006-7 season.

"We regret this development," commented Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. "Felix Magath has performed very good work for Bayern in the last two-and-a-half years and with great success, specifically winning the domestic double twice in a row. However, those of us in positions of responsibility at the club must take account of current developments and react accordingly. Our concern over qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season prompted us to take today's decision."

'Proud of my time at Bayern'

"Naturally, this isn't a pleasant situation," Magath commented. "I've had two-and-a-half excellent and successful years here, and I'm proud of my time at the club. However, I've always been aware I wouldn't be here for ever. I would like to wish FC Bayern Munich and the team all the best, and continuing success."

Bayern enjoyed two highly successful seasons after Magath joined the club on 1 July 2004. The 53-year-old became the first-ever coach to guide Munich to the domestic league and Cup double immediately upon taking charge, before Magath's men made German footballing history by retaining both trophies the following year.

Poor mid-season form

However, Magath's third campaign with the club rates as relatively disappointing. Bayern were knocked out of the German Cup before Christmas and have taken just one point from two matches since the Bundesliga action resumed after the winter break. The champions lie fourth, five points off leaders Werder Bremen, who could extend their advantage to eight points with a win in Leverkusen on Wednesday evening.

Magath's predecessor will now succeed him as head coach after Hitzfeld agreed terms with his former employers on Wednesday. The 58-year-old, whose former assistant Michael Henke also rejoins him in Munich, previously enjoyed a glorious six-year spell at the helm. The 'General' guided Bayern to eight trophies, including the Champions League and the World Club Cup in 2001. Hitzfeld is the most successful German coach of all time with a total of 16 trophies to his name.

Official unveiling on Thursday

After leaving Bayern in summer 2004, Hitzfeld took a break from coaching and worked as an expert commentator and columnist. Frequently linked with the top coaching positions in European football, he most recently rejected overtures from Hamburg and his former club Borussia Dortmund during the winter break.

Hitzfeld will be officially introduced to the media on Thursday lunchtime before supervising the first training session of his second spell at the club. On Friday evening, he will resume his seat on the bench for the champions' Bundesliga trip to Nuremberg.

Oh ****. They really did fire him. Either hiring Hitzfeld will end in success or complete disaster. My apoligies Hendrik.

It's good all this but we still have the same team.. the one that can't create for shìt. Hargreaves will help but not that much. There was no point in sacking Magath right now, at least not until we get to replace those lazy/old/worthless players we have.

Hitzfeld hasn't even held a single training session and there are already dozens of names floating around as to who will become our longterm coach. Hitzfeld has clearly stated he doesn't feel like coaching for more than the reamining four months of this season but who knows, success and the prospect of building a complete new team might change his mind.

To sum up the latest names:

Bernd Schuster (Getafe) is doing an amazing job in Spain. He's also quite young but he seems to better suited for the Spanish mentality, he didn't have lots of success in Germany.

Thomas van Heesen (Bielefeld) is a tactical mastermind, out of contract at the end of the season, probably Dortmund bound.

Jürgen Klopp (Mainz) hehe, definitely the coolest coach out there. He should first take the next step and take over a second tier team.

Matthäus and Klinsmann aren't getting a job here anytime soon.

So much for the German market. Then the usual candidates from abroad: Gerrard Houllier, Paul Le Guen, Didier Deschamps, Sven-Göran Eriksson...

it had to be done. REAL MADRID comin' up will kick our ass, plain and simple. The reports on the Bayern site have this season been much too "optomistic" ......not the dire situation. Magath gave great times to the team but new blood is need on the touchline as well as mid field. Lots of Euro's need to be spent to upgrade our team. My sad prediction 20/02...........Real Madrid: 2.....Bayern: 0

MAGATH HAS BEEN SACKED!!!

Hitzfeld is the favorite to take over until the end of the season.

Someone on Soccer Gaming has been calling for Hitzfeld for awhile now. Who could that be? Maybe he'll play the 3-5-2 that I've been asking for too?

Great move, I only wish Ottmar will stay for another year or ten.

If we miss the Champions League, and frankly I'm not sure if Hitzfeld joining a team right now will do better than Magath in the short term, I will be pissed. It is realistic, but it should NOT happen.

No players in January, of course. We BETTER get two stars in the summer. And I mean STARS. I'm talking two of v.d. vaart, Ribery, and Robben. I think we're fine at striker and frankly the defense is fine if they play up to form, but we better spend at lot of money this summer. If we don't get BOTH Ribery and Robben, we better get one of them and Rafael.

I hope mr. Hitzfeld could stay with us for a long time, not only 'til may, and bring us to many victories like he did in the past, thank u Magath for 2 titles in 2 years and 2 cups in 2 years (also 2 "doubles" in a row!), but now it's time to think to Bayern and to the future, tomorrow night an hard match in Nuernberg but we've to try, don't expect so much but have to hope the best for our team!
