Why the hell aren't we going after some midfielders rather than strikers? Okay, if RVN is available for a reasonable sum then we should go for it, he'd be a great marketing guy and speaks German. But a player like Luca Toni would cost more than €20M plus ridiculous wages and our attacking department with Makaay, Podolski, Pizarro and Roque is not too shabby.

I'd laugh my ass off if Makaay and Pizarro warmed the bench and Ali freaking Karimi started at RM.

Well come to think, Heagreaves, Demichelis and the part timing o Scholl & Karimi and you guys should be set in the center.
I also forgot Dos Santo wasn't the guy supposed to be the next big thing?

Bayern may part with Hargreaves if they can land Van Nistelrooy, 30, in a part-exchange deal that would include a cash adjustment of around £7m in United's favour.

Hargreaves plus 10 million for Ruud? :| No thanks. I might do a straight up swap deal so that we could still spend 15+ million for a topclass midfielder.

Hoeneß praise for Roque in Ballack role

Fitness to take over a new position in the new season, perhaps? Roque feels fully capable of taking over the support role of Michael Ballack – behind the two strikers. "It’s a position which suits me well and one that I like playing in. I have no problems in that position.“

This is exactly what he proved last season in the 3-1 home victory over VfB Stuttgart. "Roque Santa Cruz showed us today that he is a viable alternative for the Ballack position“, commented Hoeneß at the time. Magath also expressed the same opinion: "The position behind the strikers could be just right for Roque.“

No, he can't finish to save his life but has good technique and passing ability. Hell, he'll miss 3/4 of the season due to injury anyway so let's focus on his countryman dos Santos.

If it were'nt for his injuries, he would be an excellent player, same goes to Deisler, always getting injured, if it were'nt for his injuries, he too would be an excellent player

Well If we ain't getting RVN, then they gotta bring Luca Toni, we need another striker for real.

Well all sources are quoting that marca article. Rummenigge said Ruud wants to come to us so we'll have to see how that turns out.

With Ruud heading to Madrid and Inter close to signing Zlatan I guess we'd have a shot at Toni - but again, we don't necessarily need a fifth striker when we lack quality in midfield. There are wiser ways spend 20 million.

Though I gotta admit, Toni and Podolski would complement each other well.

Again, I doubt an Italian will leave Italy. But then again Toni is probably too old to think about the next Championships anyway.

I don't want either striker, I'm satisfied with Pizzaro, Santa Cruz, Podolski, and Makaay.

I want Ribery!! Then we can slide one of the wingers (Deisler/Schweinsteiger) into the middle.

Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy wants a move to Real Madrid.

The Times says Real are understood to have contacted Van Nistelrooy's agent, Rodger Linse, over the past 48 hours to signal their readiness to secure a deal for the Holland forward.

No formal contact is thought to have been made between the clubs as yet, but United are willing to discuss a deal, provided that the Spanish club offer more than the £10.5 million fee that has been mooted in Madrid.

Bayern Munich are also interested in Van Nistelrooy, but the 30-year-old, having shown no interest in moves to Newcastle United or SV Hamburg this summer, has a clear preference to join Real, where he is expected to be the first of many signings made by Fabio Capello, the new coach.

I think this is over, so they should focus on someone else.
Luca Toni, Ribery or Pirlo, why not.

From those, I'd want Ribery the most.
To Klobb: Why cant we man? Money does everything.
Plus no team offered him yet. Ribery's manager said he has no offer from any team, just he heard that Bayern and Real Madrid are interested.
Then why the Bayern heads are waiting? They should get him before Real M gets involved, like they took RVN from our hands, damn.
