Suazo "open" to Roma move

David Suazo’s agent has “opened the door” to a transfer to Inter’s rivals Roma this summer.

It is well known that the Giallorossi are seeking reinforcements in attack, especially since selling Amantino Mancini to Inter.

“For the moment David has a contract with Inter for the next three years,” said agent Giovanni Branchini.

“However, I am not going to close the door on Roma.”

The Honduran hitman is being pushed down the pecking order with the arrival of Mancini and Adriano.

He could be looking for a new challenge just 12 months after making the move from Cagliari and Roma would suit his fast-paced style of play.

“There are several players who I think would be leaving Inter before Suazo, as he is not linked with a transfer. At least not for now…” concluded the agent.

Meanwhile, Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o has confirmed there was some interest from Roma, but that the price-tag and wage cap provided an insurmountable obstacle.

I'm wondering how much we would have to pay for Suazo. I used to like him when he was at Cagliari and always scored goals against huge teams. Now, it seems that Inter doesn't want him anymore and he's set to heat the bench all season long; that's why his agent starts all the speculations.

Who wants him?

David Suazo from Honduras, 29 years old, is a very good striker, very fast with good physical qualities, he played with Cagliari and scored many goals, last year he passed to Inter and made a good season but not so many appearances and goals, he's good but of course we'r not talking about Drogba 4 example, but he's the kind of player that can be good for us, so we'll see, the price payed last year by Inter was around 11-12 millions, I think with 9-10 we could get him, so let's wait, other players we need.....;)

AS ROMA, Baptista not more then the 15 August
Source: laromasiamonoi

According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, with the arrival of Van der Vaart at Real Madrid, will be still the brazilian Julio Baptista to leave the Spanish capital city for reach Roma. The player would have still an agreement with Roma and now Real Madrid seem disposed to yield him.

Roma have established a deadline, beyond which negotiation will go not on: 15 August. Despite all Baptista could chose to clarify his future, even if has already asked to Real Madrid to let him leave on loan.

Roma Head Franco Sensi Is Dead

AS Roma chairman Franco Sensi this evening passed away at the age of 82. Sky television informed Italy that the Roma president died of a serious illness on Sunday night, much to the regret of Romanistas everywhere...
The Roma president was found dead late Sunday evening in the Italian capital. Franco Sensi became the leader of Roma in 1993, and during his presidency the club won the Scudetto in 2001.

Sensi was a pure Roman, born there on July 19, 1926 and lived in the city his entire life. He acquired most of his wealth as an entrepreneur in the oil, tourism and publishing sectors.

Franco Sensi became President of Roma in May of 1993, and the sole owner of the club in November of that year. During his presidency the club won a Scudetto in 2001 under coach Fabio Capello. The club also won two Italian Super Cups (2001 and 2007), and two Coppa Italia trophies (2007 and 2008) during Sensi's reign.

Since 2004, due to his illness, Franco Sensi rarely took control of the day-to-day operations of the club. Instead his daughter, Rosella Sensi, became the effective president of the Giallorossi and Franco Sensi took the role of Honorary Chairman.

In May 2008 he was presented with an "Ethics in Sport" award, due to his work with the Giallorossi and his outstanding sporting values.

He died in the Gemelli Polyclinic Hospital in Rome. Roma and football fans worldwide will certainly be mourning the loss of one of calcio's most renowned and respected figures.

RIP GRANDE PRESIDENTE

we played a very bad match, inter deserved to win in the 90 minutes, no strikers no chance, that's all, of course when u lose on penalties it's hard to accept expecially if Totti misses the match point.......:puke:
