with the financial problems within the club, as well as still needing new players so we don't have to field youth players i can't say our chances are very high right now.

but who knows, we were tipped to finish at least 4th last season and we just beat relegation, so u never know

Yup

Why the financial problems of Italian teams is much worst than the teams of the other leagues??

Lazio got into problems when their main sponsor (Cirio?) went bankrupt. The owner fed all his money from Cirio into the Lazio team and couldnt afford to keep his business going

parmalat basically paid everything in credits, then lost their money and parma couldn't make those credits cash and that's what happened to them

ze roberto's agent was spotted in rome yesterday, things could be looking good :rockman:
Roma are offering him twice the money but it loks like he will stay at Bayern.

"It now looks as though I'll be able to find a compromise deal with Bayern as I don't want to leave Germany"

Lima On Way Back To Rome
-----------------------------------------------------------------------The Brazilian midfielder is rumoured to return to the Giallorossi following an experience with Lokomotiv Moscow.
In the coming days, the Italian club is set to meet with the player’s agent to discuss a two-year deal. Lima is ready to decrease his 1.5 million Euro net wage in order to join back Roma, even though there are other European clubs after him who can guarantee him that amount.

The 34-year-old will also obtain an EU passport in June, therefore making his transfer even more appetizing for the Giallorossi.

Juve close in on Cassano Wednesday 15 June, 2005
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus will complete the signing of Roma’s Antonio Cassano once they raise the funds to finance the move.

Reports are gathering pace that the starlet will be heading to Turin, after a deal is understood to have been agreed with both the club and the player.

The Giallorossi have allegedly accepted an £11m cash only offer, with Cassano set to be handed a five-year contract.

The Stadio Delle Alpi outfit are hoping to get a large chunk of that fee with the sales of Fabrizio Miccoli and Marcelo Zalayeta.

Fiorentina are set to hand over £5m to Juve in order to complete his full signing from the Bianconeri.

While the Italian champions are confident they can net around £5m from the sale of forward Marcelo Zalayeta.

Cassano is also a transfer target for Inter but it does seem as if the Old Lady of Italian football are in pole position to sign him.

In other Juventus transfer news, the club are today being linked with the Arsenal pair of Sol Campbell and Patrick Vieira.

Players heading out of Turin include Igor Tudor, Stephen Appiah, Nicola Legrottaglie and Manuele Blasi.

The last two men are being strongly associated with loan moves to Lazio, while Tudor may opt for Sampdoria.

exactly, we paid like 20 million for him coming out of bari and juve want to run this bull**** by us.

and with rosella's mouth thoroughly entrench around juves balls now, i fear we will not get the right amount for cassano

but yeah i dont believe this article, just rumours that keep the press busy

I think its 11 Mil + Juve's half of Miccoli + letting Nonda / Taddei / Kuffor join for Cassano and a handjob.
