Its weird.
In Europe clubs sell sponsorship on their uniforms but dont like the idea of this for their stadiums.
In North America, its the opposite.

As a fan, I would rather wear a shirt without sponsor and allow a sponsor for the stadium.

Yes, but the shirts having sponsor logos is no big deal, it makes the shirt look less plain.

As for the stadium, it is like a symbol for the team. What sounds more intimidating? For example, having a visit to the legendary Old Trafford, or a visit to the Nike Stadium?

Look, everyone who has been calling it "Arse-Butthead Park" or "Highbury II"... it's going to be either Ashburton Grove or named after the company that sponsors it.

I've said this already but I'd like to keep the stadium the way it is.

Yea, it's the club itself, not the ground.
Yeah, but the ground is like the 13th man (the 12th being the supporters).

Its as much a part of the team as anything else.

sponsors on the kit are not a forever-thing. the name of a staidum, generally, is kept for a very long time, and is DEFINETLEY part of the teams identity. At least thats how i feel abt it...

northstar, what is ur avator? by any chance is it the one the guy from porto scored against manure today (i didnt see the goals yet)?

it'll never be the Nike stadium...
i m pretty sure about that.

Nike is an American brand, and doesn't really have any alliegences with arsenal or london. And Football isnt their main sport.

The Reebok situation is different, the Reebok brand is English originaly, and was established in Bolton... that's why the Reebok stadium is in Bolton.
Welcome To Umbro satdium!

Nah Still Old trafford for me :crazyboy:
BTW: Umbro is a company in manchester.

The current stadium is called Arsenal Stadium, actually (says so right on the front). Everyone calls it Highbury tho.

This one will probley be Arsenal Stadium, Ashburton Grove...like the current one is Arsenal Stadium, Highbury.
