That was dire. Defense was a mess, Jerome Thomas scored, we couldn't pass to save our lives and save for Nasri and Chamakh (occasionally) the team was completely flat out lifeless. I really hate it when some of teh players are so poor in games like this, Nasri played a 120 mins. at SHL and was our best player by streets.

I was really disappointed in Almunia in this game, first he conceded the penalty almost in the same way he did vs. Man Utd last season, he did redeem himself by saving it, but afterwards screwed up with the third goal.

We have to pick ourselves up for the games vs Partizan and Chels. I hope Cesc makes the Stamford Bridge game. At least Chelsea and Spurs lost today so my weekend isn't totally depressing.

One of the few positives I can think of right now is that if we win next weekend we'll have largely made up for this terrible performance. We need to try and put this behind us and set out for Stamford Bridge next weekend to win.

No fear we have the chosen one.

We had our moments in the first and second half and could/ should have equalized but we didn't take our chances (mainly Chamakh). With that said it was always unlikely that we were gonna get a result out of today with the injuries we had and it really is the same old story with the way we lost.

From the looks of all the injuries they have, I'd say that they are well-prepared for that

Bendtner is back and Cesc & Theo will play on Tuesday, so we aren't as weakened as your post suggests. The most important thing about the game for me is that the fans get a chance to say goodbye to Dudu.

But you are missing backs if I'm not mistaken and let's face it, it's the weakest part of the team besides the GK.

Well I guess we looked pretty weak today? I've never been so pleased to see an opposing player score. We also had some nice goals the buildup to Carlos's goal was sublime and Chamakh checking to see if he was onside before tapping the ball in was hilarious. Overall a great game, up next is Citeh on the 24th and we all know Abou Diaby> Abu Dhabi.

I'm pretty pumped for this City game coming up. I definitely think we should win, though City have looked solid so far at home. It's a shame Wilshire got a red card, I'm looking forward to seeing him and Cesc play together this season.

Don't get ahead of yourself, Shakhtar ain't excatly a top team either. But it was a good game.
