Make America Great Again
From Zonal Marking:

Zero attempts on goal suggests that Arsenal ‘parked the bus’ – even Inter managed one shot in their semi-final last year – but they didn’t, they were simply unable to get past the first burst of closing down.

Completely true. Even at the end of the game Arsenal were doing short passes near their own area instead of booting it forward as Arsene screamed at them to start kicking it long. Their passing was so terrible because of Barcelona's pressing that they looked awful, but really they didn't play any long balls, which is something you obviously expect from a team parking the bus because maybe you'll hit the other team on a counter attack.

That was a far different scenario. This time around Barcelona completely dominated AND had the lead, unless you think RvP somehow would have prevented Barcelona's last two goals.

What lead? Barcelona were losing 3-2 on aggregate at that point. Barcelona needed 2 goals to defeat Inter AND they needed 2 goals to defeat Arsenal without having to play over time. Almost exact same scenario. And maybe RvP could have prevented those 2 goals, confidence goes a long way in football, you can't be talking about those things happening or not happening (as in my case) as if it was a fact. You can't seriously believe that having 11 players vs 10 players makes no difference.

His point is Arsenal weren't doing **** with the lead and 11 men. It was obvious who was bossing the match. Statistics say more often Barelona turn that kind of domination into a win, one counter example is not enough to believe the other way either.

The truth is the better team went through, we dominated both legs.

Example of how Barcelona turns domination into wins:

You english are so blindly proud of ur untouchable league, a pasture of green grass.

But we have made Arsenal and ManU, of the "big bad four", look like a joke.

We all know that more often than not Barcelona turns domination into a win and we also all agree that Barcelona were the better side. BUT its not a fact that at 1-1, had Van Persie stayed on Barcelona would have been able to score 2 goals. Maybe they would have scored 3, maybe conceded 1 or scored none, none of us know (although apparently Sevillista knows that they would have scored 2 goals no matter what). Out of all that uncertainty, there is only one thing that's more clear than others and that is that one decision killed of any chance of Arsenal scoring or even having the confidence and momentum to not concede 2 goals for that matter. And it was a badly wrong decision at that.

BTW, i'm not english, i'm not even a slight Arsenal supporter, i'm just proving a fair point that the referee ruined the game.

@ArgVega.....i agree with everything u said . the stats are all for there to justify barcelona were the better team even through out the first leg. we had a lot of luck and won. and i can also say that barca were not at their best through out the game as they had chances and missed some of them which usually count as regular barcelona goals.

-As u mentioned above that STATS show u were the better team but the final score are
also counted as STATS thus we won.
-your criticism towards arsenal is reasonable as i didnt expect to see Arsenal playing like that.
-Sending off of van persie was a extremely a bad decision and u know it bro. as we were still winning and we could have progressed with one man extra on the field because when arshavin came on there was a chance created which was a certain goal if someone else was in the place of bendtner. so we could have had an extra attacker on the field atleast to keep barca also thinking about defending also which could have been crucial.
-anyways the best team won congrats and best of luck and also do us a favor if u draw with tottenham at any stage just win the game and humiliate them to death.

I'm not arguing it was a bad call by the ref. I think it was a very bad yellow card, but there are other mistakes Bussaca made against us too.

I just don't think the ref gifted us the game like some people are insinuating. My feeling is we would have won with Van Persie on the field, but that is my opinion.

Anyway good luck on the rest of the epl. Like I said you are a team to watch for the next 5 years, if you keep your players you will be a monster team. Wilshire is a great talent indeed(Y)

What did Arsenal do differently with 10 men than with 11 that would have prevented those two goals? Of course none of us know what would have happened, but what we do know is that when Arsenal had the lead with 11 men they were stuck in their own area with RvP out of sight, and with 10 men they did just the same, but with RvP in the locker room. You can say that the red card hurt Arsenal's chances of scoring once they were down, but they played defense just the same.

I'm beginning to agree with you though, the referee did ruin the match. If he hadn't given that red card, Barcelona would have gotten the full credit they deserve for playing a near-perfect match. Instead, people like you invalidate the win on one bad call.
