It's still the only league I watch (outside of Bayern games). When I get up on Saturday I usually only look at the Premier League schedule.

Same here. Not even completely sure why. Good product. Easy to find good streams with English commentary. And need to stay on top of my FPL game so I can win money.

The Premiership is a step down from La Liga as far as the competition goes right now, Ozil is one of the top players in the world and now he just took a step down in competition. It sure looks like it too.

I disagree, in La Liga there are basically two great teams, 2-3 good teams and the rest are just free wins. There is a reason why players score more goals in La Liga and that is because they play weaker opponents more regularly.

If you look at the Premiership the balance of top talent is spread across a lot more teams, the average level of teams is a lot higher and that means it's more grinding playing tougher teams week in week out. You could argue that Man City have the strongest squad in the league and after demolishing Man Utd it would appear that way but little old Cardiff beat them 3-2. Individual player talent isn't everything, it's a team game and the Premiership has the highest number of competitive teams in my opinion.

Of course this all comes down to how you view things and personal opinion as mentioned before.

It's ridiculous when people claim there are 10-15 bad teams in La Liga. It just happens to be, that Barca and Real are so dominate, that they make them look bad. And that's the only time people really watch them play. If even then. And then they make these assumptions and claims.

Like I said it comes down to opinion, my opinion is not that they are bad, just not as competitive.

I watch whatever football interests me and this does include teams like Atlético Madrid, Villarreal, Valencia etc but if you look at the Premier League and La Liga last season without the top 2 and then make matches of the positions it would look like so:

Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid
Arsenal vs Real Sociedad
Tottenham vs Valencia
Everton vs Malaga
Liverpool vs Real Betis
West Brom vs Rayo Vallecano
Swansea vs Sevilla
West Ham vs Getafe

Now don't get me wrong but I honestly think the English teams would win the majority of those matches. Again it's my opinion and I am not saying that the La Liga teams are bad, I just think the Premier League is a harder league to win due to it's stronger base of teams.

That said Barca and Real are a whole other breed and put into the Premier League I think they would still easily be top 4, more than likely with one of them winning the title, however I don't think Barca would get the 100 points they did last season, not the 115 goals either.

Last year, It was probably the weakest Barca after Dinho era, yet they managed 100 points. There is a huge gap between Barca/Real and other teams.

Last year, teams like Milan and Celtic that were not super strong took Barca to limit ... Real had troubles as well.

Lots of La Liga stars like Soldado, Navas, Negredo left La Liga as well.

This is a very well made point.

I think the Spanish teams would win almost every single one of those games. The first 4 are obviously tilted towards the Spanish clubs of 12/13.

Last season's Arsenal 100% loses to last season Real Sociedad and Everton gets hammered by a Malaga team that, for all intents and purposes, beat Dortmund in the CL Quarter Finals.

The bottom teams at England have more money than Valencia. The relegation candidates here are purhcasing Europa-calibre players. If the overall quality is not better (and I think it is, but whatever), it's just a matter of time.

To be bought by Engliah teams. If Spain sort out their economy and money division in the league before England getvtheir youth training in order they could oveetake Englqnd. But for the next few years, Engliah teams are going to be better barring Barca and Madrid.

Ozil and Ramsey get all headlines but I think Flamini plays an important role in this Arsenal team as well, their defense look much better now.

It's such a great finish, even greater if you consider it's Özil! He probably thought about assisting the net, and that's how he put it in.
