1) I think PC users are right to feel cheated in one way
2)I don't understand this endless war with pc vs ps3 vs xbox360
3)You can talk without name calling
And then about the topic. I think the reason is simple, money&time. With XBOX360&PS3 you have standards which to use when doing a game. It's much easier&cheaper to do game in the long run, when you don't have to support all kind of different PC areas(ie. different videocard, videodrivers, soundcards, sound drivers). Of course you can simplify it, but it still needs a lot of work. While in console you know what kind of parts you have and it won't change in a year or even in 2-3 years.
Just to have to say it surely isn't cheaper to have PC for gaming. I have played with PC years and I'm still playing(mostly FM tho) and I had some time even in one national team in FPS game. So I "had to had" a lot of running power for game. And if you want to run all new games with great quality you have to upgrade(or even buy 90% new CPU) in every 1-2year(s). Even if it isn't a lot higher price for one PC vs Console, it surely is a lot expensive in long run. But of course if you have to buy new PC(like for working) every couple of years I do understand you don't want to spend on console as well.
