And I agree with them. We are arguing with opinions and that does nothing on the field. We have alot of games left and anything can happen. I still think Greek Soccer is better than Finnish, and the Greek NT will place higher than Finland. But we will see...


PS If i'm wrong I will be the first one to say "I WAS WRONG" ok...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but many punters over here and in england have predicted us to position higher than greece. We possess better players but it's the team that wins in the end. It's hard to say who will win and we will see at the end of the qualifiers.

First of all Germany will beat u in Finland. They beat England IN England and will beat u also.

That Norway win, they fielded 2nd STRING PLAYERS!

About playing in Athens. NOBODY KILLS GREECE IN ATHENS!!! Something about Greek and Turkish fans strikes fear in other opponents. It's a HUGE advantage. We aren't at that next level because we can't win AWAY.

We have 3 straight home games and that is our advantage...

PS About the players:

Machlas scored THE MOST GOALS IN EUROPE in 98 (I think). He won the GOLDEN BOOT!!!

Georgatos went to INTER Milan had had the crowds chanting his name. I talked to alot of Italians and they LOVED HIM. He only came back because he was homesick. Inter begged him to stay.

Eleftheropoulos was VOTED by Italians, 2nd best GK in Europe. Thats not a fluke... Also he was voted BEST GK IN 98' CL!

Lymberopoulos has been offered contracts by Man U, Inter and Firorentina. But opted to stay with Pana for more money and for the CL... (He was the one who scored on u)

Tsartas was voted in the top 10 players of Spain with Sevilla!!! He had a break out year, scored 12 goals and had many assists!

Dabizas was A REGULAR starter with Newcastle before his injury and they LOVE HIM over their.

So, your players are better huh? I think not...

The legendary Ajax team was when Van der Saar, de boers, litmanen and davids played for them!!!! But Hyypiä is one of the best defenders in europe all the best footy magazines like Kicker in Germany and French Football magazine put him into their all-star lineups... Johansson is second best scorer in the premiership... no greek players has accomplished that in the premiership and as a part english man I would know that...........
It's easy to win the dutch scoring but the premiership is at another level mate...
Your comparisons are complete rubbish.. From the looks of it you have a good team but we have three great players, one being litmanen that is one of the best players in the group and actually the only player you can compare to the three finns I listed is Mahlas

Estonia is 2nd in their group, but that does not mean that they are good (they won 2 games, both to Andorra). All I say is that it is too early to judge and that in my opinion Greece has a better chance. As for Finland – 3 last games? 3:1, 2:1, 0:0? And what were the 4 last games? And you are saying that Finland is better than Greece because they are now higher than Greece and that they have better players… Well, Finland are supposed not to loose at the home ground, right?, if they have Hyypia, Litmanen..

Well, you said it yourself – it is not the player selection that matters. It is the game that is showed by the team. Ukraine has more star players than for example Russia (Shevchenko, Rebrov, Luzhny, Shovkovsky, Vaschuk) and the Ukrainian players are known all over the world, but they are hardly better than Russian… I mean you just count your country better just because you have “star” players, and because after 3 games you are 2nd in the group loosing to Greece, drawing with HIGHLY struggling England who did not have many players and changed their manager 3 days before, and beat THE POWERHOUSE ALBANIA…

Greece had 7 players out. Just think about it. 7.

BTW, 4 points by Finland are the points everybody predicted Finland would have in first 3 matches. Nothing special here. This is just a start and, god, Slovenia did not have anyone except Zakhovic, and I thought of they as they were crappy, but they got to the Euro 2000. Finland has lower chances of qualifying, face it, but they do have them. Right now Finland did not show anything thatt could be a reson of why they are better than Greece.

Just because they have 1 world class player and another good player ( only 2) doesn't mean anything. Greece as a whole is just better than Finland...
