giovanni's right... i went to school in greece for 14 years and i studied greek history and then i moved to the states for university studies and the "greek" history that you learn here is nothing compered to what you learned in greece as i'm sure it's the same way with russian, fin, norwagian history etc.

RR... i'm gonna go ahead and appologize for giovanni's remarks about russia... he was probably just too pissed off... and wasn't thinking... greece was just on fire during that time and it was the greatest achievement the made in history... but that was back then... right now russia is better than greece even though they have their problems.

I never said that Russia was worse than Greece that time. In fact, we got lucky, because Yugoslavia was supposed to play in the group too, but because of political reasons disqualified. So we had a very easy group and qualified as the best 2nd place, I think.


aLso, I used that fact as how Finland was worse than Greece... That Russia beat Finland 6:0 in Helsinki in Euro 96 qualification and Greece finished above Russia in USA 94 qualification.

but I forgot that in 96 qualifications Greece was also in our group.. And finished above Finland with 18 points (Finland had 15, and Russia 26. Scotland came in 2nd with 23)....


as for calling you without braincells -- I am sorry, but that was a retaliation for your calling of Russia "pathetic" when we beat you twice in 95...
